The CARES Act, the $2 trillion coronavirus emergency relief bill that serves as Phase Three of Congress's coronavirus relief efforts, has passed the House of Representatives. It is the largest stimulus package in U.S. history and aims to provide funding for hospitals, and targeted relief for small businesses. The successful vote comes after hours of cantankerous debate, in which one unhinged Democratic representative was ruled " out of order " on the House floor.
Once the measure finally passed, the entire House erupted - in a positive way.
WOW and just like that, the motion is adopted.
Entire House on its feet.
Have not seen unity like this on a major, tough bill in a long long time.
The monumental vote was emphasized by the following photo. It's not often we see scenes like this.

Well that’s done and ready for Trump to sign.
One thing almost all of these DC politicians agree upon - including Trump - is spending lots of money. Their priorities differ so through compromise you put it all together and they rack up enormous debt.
I don’t think it was even a “voice” vote. Essentially, there was no vote...it was by “affirmation”. Two trillion more deficit...by affirmation. Minimal debate. Hardly anyone present. Pathetic.
I haven’t seen that list but have seen some of those numbers on the upper half and believe those are the same that I’ve seen.

I know who is running NYC and NY state now.
I was 20 in 1988.
Working and going to college in Manhattan.
After dinkins screwed it up, Rudy stepped in and it was a thing of beauty.
I’ve worked in the World Financial Center, The OLD (RIP) World Trade Center (not that fiasco they put up) and Rockefeller Plaza.
I LOVED Manhattan in the 90s and it was even good with the nutjob bloomberg.
I don’t know what happened that a “man” like de blasio could win and make it what it is becoming, but it is sad.
He and cuomo are sad.
But like a best friend who was there for you and great to be with and be around but who later turned to drugs and wend downhill, I stand by it and always will.
I’m sure you can understand.
Question for the financial wizards on board. We borrowed from our 401K for major house repairs. That is reflected on our 2018 tax returns. (We haven’t filed this year) That is way more than our salary so as it stands, we won’t be getting anything back. Is there anything we can do?
>
Im not entirely happy about the final result, but considering that this shit has wiped me out financially and stolen what was left of my savings, its better than a poke in the eye.
>
Poke in the eye would have been preferable, least the pain would have eventually subsided. Now, it’s you\yours\progeny being bent over in perpetuity.
Celebrity-type and Sean Hannity. Ugh.

You forgot one BIG important tidbit @ the end: ....that We get to pay...forever.
Who says (economic) slavery is dead in the U.S.?
Don’t worry, by the time anyone’s great grandchildren are tax paying adults, this will all be buried in history, the debt of the world will have been simply forgotten and everyone will be living in a world economy with a world dollar and bureaucrats in charge of everything an unarmed ppl of the world can do.
They will have been raised to believe, these times were terrible and will be so happy to be living in a time when the elite coddle them from cradle to grave.
Be thankful if you are alive today, in 100 years the world will have long forgotten what freedom was. That’s if mankind makes it that far and hasn’t killed off most of the life on the planet. My money’s on mankind not making it that far.
“Representative Massie of Kentucky tried to get a recorded vote but he was voted down. On a voice vote. He then tried to get a quorum count. He was voted down. On a voice vote. No other Republicans backed him up.”
Massie definitely had the votes, for his firing squad.
People scrambling to get back to D.C. and ChiCom Virus each other up in chambers.
They want to murder this guy. He put everyone’s health in jeopardy. He put millions of Americans in deeper jeopardy.
President Trump only wants him thrown out of the party.
Getting soft in his golden years.
Really? I shut my biz down and cant reopen until venues start opening back up again. If you find out any more on this can you pm me please? Ill also see what I can find out. Ill take that deal!
They should have simply shut off Stevens’ microphone. Surely the A/V guys in the back have the capability to do that if so ordered.
Already plenty in that they wanted.
You've been here since 2004, and you're only realizing that NOW?
First the Senate and then House should have never left D.C. last week.
Most of them.
Then you need Philips head wood screws to fasten the hinges to the door frame
