Some states and local governments are ordering businesses to close down and placing other restrictions aimed at reducing the spread of the Wuhan coronavirus.
Chicago Tribune reporter Gregory Pratt says Illinois Gov. J.B. Pritzker will be ordering restaurants to stop serving dine-in customers in an effort to slow the spread of the virus. The order will take effect at the close of the business day on Monday.

Ohio Gov. Mike DeWine ordered all bars and restaurants to close down on Sunday. The order goes into effect at 9:00 p.m. local time. Businesses will be allowed to remain open and offer carry-out and delivery services, but dining-in will be prohibited as the state seeks to mandate social distancing measures as the number of confirmed cases continues to rise in the state.

Cities are beginning to take local action with the hope of flattening the curve in their communities. District of Columbia Mayor Muriel Bowser ordered night clubs to close down and placed new restrictions on bars and restaurants.

Boston Mayor Marty Walsh declared a public emergency on Sunday, announcing the closure of schools and ordering restaurants and bars to close by 11 p.m. local time and reduce their capacity by 50 percent. The mayor announced that regulations, which prohibit food establishments from serving take-out or offering delivery, will be temporarily lifted as an added measure to promote social distancing.
Hours will be reduced to close at 11 p.m. If violated, you will be shut down for 30 days. This applies to anyone with a CV license. Additionally, beer gardens will not be opening until this public health crisis is over.— Mayor Marty Walsh (@marty_walsh) March 15, 2020

The problem with “close everything and stay home” is...
There are millions upon millions of chefs/waiters/waitresses/hosts/bartenders who depend on their tips and weekly paycheck to literally survive. They need to pay bills, rent, etc. With their establishments forced to close, what are they to do? Is the same government that’s forcing them to close, going to cover their loss of income?
What about the businesses? The restaurants, the bars, etc. They rely on revenue to pay their bills, to pay rent to their landlords, etc.
The trickle-down effect here is truly frightening.
I don’t drink, but here’s a little something to help those that do through this time.

These reactions don’t match up with the numbers they’re reporting.
They’re either overreacting and going on a full on totalitarian power trip or they’re not reporting the actual results.
Regardless this is like trying to stop the common cold.

Toilet paper stocks depleted by the asswipes, everyone working from home (except those who work in businesses that are ordered to close), curfews, sporting events and concerts canceled, schools closed, restaurants closed, sales of alcohol, tobacco, firearms and ammo banned.
When they ban drug sales, prostitution and close the brothels it’ll become a veritable zombie apocalypse. Next they’ll make murder a crime.

There are reports that it is on the second round. Supposedly, it has gone from Italy back to China....but I believe nothing from China

We will be patronizing a local restaurant tonight. I encourage all Freepers to do the same. This is psychological and economic war we are facing.
This is more economic sabotage. The left needs to destroy America’s prosperity to defeat President Trump. Most of the other ham fisted attempts have failed but this just might work.
