Video online of an apparent assault that occurred in Philadelphia has caught the attention of police and has possible implications of a racially motivated attack.
A Philadelphia police spokesperson on Wednesday said the department is aware of the video, but has not yet received a report of an incident.
"We aware of the disturbing video, which depicts the assault of a young man and woman, by what appear to be a group of juveniles," police said. "At this point, it does not appear that the incident was reported to police. However, violent acts such as this are inexcusable and should not be tolerated. We encourage the victims or any witness to contact police. We also encourage the parents of those involved to take appropriate and responsible measures."

I’d like self-defense laws beefed up. People should carry and, if attacked, they should be free to use any amount of force they choose.

If police actually thought a crime had been committed, shouldn’t they be interested in arresting those involved, rather than pressing for parental discipline?
I think there are two issues — can you carry? Can you use?
If I’m on a subway platform and somebody takes a swing at me, am I legally entitled to pull out a gun and shoot him? I doubt it. But I think it should be OK. Because then bad guys would stop swinging at people on subway platforms.
I haven’t seen the video. Can I make an educated guess as to whose ethnic group these julivinles belong? Is this feral gathering of animals? Isn’t Philly a Sanctuary City — oh the horrors that no quarter is given to those who don’t deserve “Sanctuary”.

Attacks like this have been going on long before the coronavirus but now we can talk about them because of “xenophobia because of the cornoavirus” so they can play into their narrative.
Before they were just ignored or treated as fluke attacks by people of non-descript identities attacking other people of non-descript identities because of the breakdown of civil discourse because Trump or something.
It is hard to discern from the video if the attack was unprovoked or who’s doing the attacking and it’s possible words were exchanged first.
