President Donald Trump is enjoying a positive approval rating for the first time since his inauguration, according to a poll released Thursday. 49% of Americans approve of the job Trump is doing, compared to 48% who disapprove of Trump’s performance, according to a Gallup poll published Thursday. The poll also found that the president is enjoying his highest approval ratings among Independents since taking office at 43%.
The poll suggests that the current state of the economy could help the president’s re-election efforts this Fall, finding that 61% of Americans believe the economy is getting better compared to 33% of Americans who believe the economy is getting worse. The poll also showed that more Americans are identifying as Republicans, with 32% identifying as members of Trump’s party, compared to 28% in Gallup’s prior two surveys.

Don’t think so. The drug culture happened outside of Vietnam and in many countries that weren’t involved in it. Goldwater’s election might have slowed the progress in the US, but even bailing out of the Vietnam War early wouldn’t have stopped it.

“Boldness” wasn’t a feature of President Johnson’s approach to VN.

And may I add: Try to avoid all polls. Don't trust 'em, just ignore them.
All they are generally created for is to FORM OPINION ..... not to MEASURE IT.
President Trump has done, in 3 years, what politicians have been “promising” to do for the last 20-30 years. Really makes you wonder just what the hell have they been doing all this time....oh, that’s right, they have been making themselves rich with our money.
The comparison with the Hussein administration should be shocking to anyone to chooses to see it.
I have seen this said by several people - We should not have gone into Vietnam when we did, and we shouldn’t have left when we did either.
What we should have done is told the French to f**k off and suggested that they should give the land back to the natives as the French left them at the mercy of the Japanese.

The politicians of the past 30 years have been busy handing our economy and energy over to enemy foreign nations and fake energy companies....in return for enriching themselves with payoffs and stock market investments! Trump is the first leader to try to stop it before it’s too late. Sadly he can only put in 8 years...and THE ENEMy will do anything to stop that.
