Attorney General William Barr told ABC News in an interview aired Thursday that President Trump had never asked him to do anything in a criminal case but advised the president to stop tweeting about the Justice Department, saying it makes it “impossible for me to do my job.”
The remarks are a significant and rare public break by the attorney general from the president, following days of controversy surrounding the Justice Department’s decision to lessen a sentence for Trump ally Roger Stone after the president tweeted about his displeasure with the gravity of the original sentence recommendation.
“I think it’s time to stop the tweeting about Department of Justice criminal cases,” Barr told ABC in the interview.

A sentence of three years could be reduced by “time already served in federal custody” (over a year now) as well as a “good behavior” early release determination (of 54 days) allowed on anniversary for each year held as a federal prisoner, which could cut a 3 year sentence to less than 15 months. Trump could commute the rest.
The President's tweets do not help. So in court, they can hurt.

The American citizen has been betrayed countless times, so of course we are gonna be skeptical.

Don't be discouraged! Remember that Trump is the mastermind at the political play-action s--t. It's good that Barr is putting some space between him and POTUS. Now the talking point "Muh, Barr is Trump's Svengali!" is DEAD, KAPUT. Barr is free to haul ass now.

You assume barr is not part of the deep state. I think you should look at barr’s history. He is an original member of the deep state and part of the bush legacy.
