Chief Justice of the United States John Roberts blocked Kentucky Republican Sen. Rand Paul from posing a question during the Senate impeachment trial Wednesday that would have named the alleged whistleblower at the center of the case, Fox News is told and Paul may try to force the issue during the question-and-answer session that begins Thursday afternoon.

that’s what accounts for schitt’s bug eyed, purse lipped grin
and Paul may force the issue>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
As Paul should. The whistleblower is not protected by the Whitsleblower statute or by security directives of the executive branch.
Roberts can only protect the whistleblower by resorting to shadows and penumbras of law. And if he does, Roberts will live in infamy and place the administration of justice into disrepute.
To use and overworked Dem balking point:
” No one is above the law.”
If the president is not, neither is Ciaramela.
Its time to bust this money laundering Dem/Soros banking grand scadal wide open by getting at the whistleblower, who had organized it all.HUnter Biden was one of several bagmen.Nothing like the Obama redistribution of wealth scheme, eh?
Paul is a right as rain on this.Shine the light of day on it on behalf of the People.
The reason Trump is "impeached forever" is so that the 'Rats can argue that an impeached President cannot appoint a Supreme Court Justice.
RBG is already dead and they will announce her passing this summer with enormous adulation and ceremony.
It's all show business.
No. There is nothing on the official record on this subject. Just news reports of "back room" agreements.
The information is going to come out.
Using the same argument that DEMs do wrt/Bolton (with respect to, for anybody wondering), it is essential that this come out NOW, before a verdict is rendered, so the senate doesn't have egg on its face on account of working with a fatally incomplete record.
Agreed. But mTrump’s lawyers were not forcefully persuing this yesterday, other than to make the point that the 18th witness’ testimony is still being held secret. Schiff stated that he was following committee rules that prohibits release of IG testimony (I bet those rules were created by Pelosi for this Congressional session)
Does it really matter at this point? If the GOP has the votes to end this thing, and the name is known anyway, this just looks like Senator Paul grinding an ax. Sure, the idea that this scumbag can stay as an anon is ridiculous, but the entire thing has been a joke/hoax.
Since it’s Super Bowl week: if you are about to take a knee to win the game, are you still going to complain too hard about the crappy holding call in the 2nd quarter?
I dont get it. Anyone can accuse a POTUS of anything, instigate an impeachment and the POTUS and people are not allowed to know who the accuser is? WTF!
Yesterday, I thought it was telling when several DEMS yesterday, quite a few times, mentioned the Chief Justice as a decider into arguments. Do they know they have him in the bag?
Somebody should be asking where the transcript of the 18th witness is.
Article VI: to be confronted with the witnesses against him;
Hard to throw shade over those words. Go Rand!
“Does it really matter at this point?”
It matters. Fairness and doing the right thing always matter. That attitude is what made the GOP politicians a bunch of pussies.
House committee rules have no relevance in the Senate, and certainly have no bearing in a court of law. If the IG testified that he had credible evidence of an assassination conspiracy against Nancy Pelosi, you know damn well that this information would be disclosed.
Roberts is a bigger assclown than the dead lady still on the court.
we can get this info out and still acquit, all by Saturday
“Does Roberts know that the right to face ones accuser is recognized in the Magna Carta and the US Constitution?”
Yup, and it should have been presented in the House.
“..Does anyone expect anything other than jack boots vs patriots in the near future?...”
No... historically, it’s inevitable.
I agree. Thats why the identity of his accuser should be verified first, instead of just being put out there in a Senate hearing
without confirming it.
That would be pretty great. Beer, popcorn, and MSNBC, just to watch the heads explode.
