It may just be a coincidence.
But the deadly coronavirus outbreak now sweeping the world began 30km from Chinas most advanced viral research laboratories the Wuhan Institute.
The Washington Times quoted former Israeli intelligence officer Dany Shoham as claiming The Wuhan Institute of Virology is part of a secret biological weapons program.
Certain laboratories in the institute have probably been engaged, in terms of research and development, in Chinese (biological weapons), at least collaterally, yet not as a principal facility, he asserted without corroborating evidence.
Mr Shoham says he was a Mossad lieutenant colonel specialist in biological and chemical warfare. But so far hes the only apparent expert to make such a link.
Similar stories have begun circulating in China.
Only there, the claims which are not censored under Chinas strict information management regime assert the virus is the result of a US germ warfare conspiracy.
There is no evidence that it was a bioweapon, and any claims that it is wilfully spreads misinformation and is incredibly irresponsible, warns MIT security studies professor Vipin Narang.
China already stands accused of breaching international treaties and engaging in biological weapons research.
Information indicates that the Peoples Republic of China engaged during the reporting period in biological activities with potential dual-use applications, which raises concerns regarding its compliance with the BWC, the 2019 annual US State Department report on Chinas arms treaty compliance warns.
The United States has compliance concerns with respect to Chinese military medical institutions toxin research and development because of the potential dual-use applications and their potential as a biological threat.
But Prof Narang doubts the 2019-nCoV virus is an escaped bioweapon: It would be a terrible bioweapon because of blowback. A good bioweapon, in theory, has high lethality but low, not high, communicability.

I doubt that this version of the virus is a weapon.
More likely it was an early attempt at manipulating a virus feedstock for virulence against specific ethnic groups (non-Han Chinese). There are some reportedly peculiar inserts to the core of this virus which do not appear to have been the result of natural recombination.
The Chinese have openly described in their military journals a "hypothetical" scenario in which the North American continent was depopulated by a plague which only affected Europeans, then resettled by Han Chinese.
Perhaps their scientists were working on creating such a virus.
If so, perhaps the project did not work as planned. And the virus may have gotten loose from the lab due to careless handling.
Oops!
Sounds like the plot for a novel that I have read before.
Wuhan seafood market may not be only source of novel coronavirus: expert

What’s a “defensive” bio weapon?
[Whats a defensive bio weapon?]
They probably also discuss getting the nation’s medicos and drug researchers together to work on counter-measures.

This article should be posted separately on FR.
What is stopping a Chinese lab worker from taking this virus to a dissident and exposing it in the market place
Fear of Reprisal.
That is the way totalarianism maintain power everywhere.

Crazy how they have 2 labs in Wuhan. Yet, are sending the patients virus tests to Beijing to be processed.
This article concerned me as well.

I’ve been thinking similar, although it really doesn’t matter whether it was a human-made virus or not (other than the fact that we call thank the Globalists for giving the Chicoms the capability to create such a monster).
In any case, the world is stuck with it...but if it does really get out of control in China, perhaps that sick government will be gotten rid of, once and for all.
You apparently never were in combat.
Wounding a soldier is often more effective than killing, because a wounded soldier takes 2-3 able bodied soldiers with him off the battle field.
Yes, the kill rate is 3-4%. ICU rate is 25%. Theyll be sick for months.
That (plus quarantine) effectively shuts an economy down for a year.
“Sounds like the plot for a novel that I have read before.”
I was watching some propaganda video from China regarding how they have this virus under control and all of China is helping and working together to bring it under control.
One of the comments on the youtube video said something like “This sounds like the part 15 minutes into the 2 hour movie.”
What were they planning on doing with the African descent Americans?
That was not specified. The original article assumed a "slate wiper" on the North American continent, and dealt mainly with the logistics problems of a resettlement.
As the cartoon said, "I think you should be more explicit in step two"...
If it is a bioweapon it is either an economic collapse bioweapon or an incomplete bioweapon in development. With CRISPR it is easy to screw with DNA/RNA. The fact that the middle part of the virus (hence the novel moniker) genome has never been seen before suggests there may have been some CRISPR messing with the genome. Not saying it isn’t naturally evolved but IMHO it is highly unlikely.
So Chapel Hill replicates the China Bat/Sars virus combo in a mouse that doesn’t die.
China either steals the virus or decides they can do it too
And at some point in the bioweapon development it escapes the lab by accident or intention.
And we await to see what other ethnicities fall victim to the virus.
They are gettig inventive with masks. Putting plastic bottles over their heads while out of the home. One person made a respirator type thing out of three plastic bottles.
