Gun permit applications surged nearly 1,000 percent in New Yorks Jewish community since the December 28, 2019, attack on Hasidic Jews in a rabbis home.
The Washington Examiner reports that the surge is clear in Rockland County, the very county in which the rabbis home was attacked. The Rockland County Clerks office reported the nearly 1,000 percent increase in gun permit applications in the week following the Dec. 28 attack.
Erik Melanson, owner of Rockland Countys Precision Gunsmiths, said, A lot of people are worried, especially the large Hasidic and Jewish community in Rockland County. I have had rabbis come in. Some of the rabbis already have concealed carry [permits].
On October 27, 2018, an attacker killed 11 innocents at the Tree of Life synagogue in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. There was no armed security at the synagogue at the time of the attack.
On April 27, 2019, an attacker killed one innocent and wounded three others by opening fire on Chabad of Poway in San Diego, California.
On December 10, 2019, two attackers killed a Jersey City police officer, then holed up in a Jewish market, where three civilians were killed.
The New York Times reported the December 28, 2019 attack in which a suspect armed with a machete wounded five Hasidic Jews in a rabbis home. The victims tried to defend themselves by throwing furniture at the attacker.
On January 8, 2020, Breitbart News reported HaGaon HaRav Chaim Kanievsky indicating Americans can carry guns to the synagogue on the Sabbath for self-defense.

I wonder who is attacking these Jews.
I wonder why that is not mentioned?
Democrats attacking each other?
It is almost impossible to get a gun permit and concealed weapons license in NYC.
You have to know someone.
Theyre applying in Rockland County, not NYC.
It is Democrats attacking, but the victims are Orthodox and thus not Democrats.
I have one. It just takes money.
Also, for whatever reason, its much easier to get a carry permit for a revolver. I carry a .357 and we have a shotgun in the house (which is easy to get).

Wait till mini Mike Bloomberg hears about this.
I have one too - all it took was living in a Constitutional Carry state.

Good! Our Jewish pals need to get armed and learn to shoot. The Jewish friends I have in KY have never gone hunting much less fire a gun. Despite the invitation.
I don’t why that is. If anyone needs to pack, it’s those folks.
54 percent voted for Trump but he now has a 90 percent approval rating for them.
Meaning that 54 should jump quite a bit higher in 2020.
Not sure if that helps any state as besides NYC, I don’t know enough about where they have large enough numbers to add a percent or two to Trump in a state.
I hope they do.
Staten Island voted 57 percent Trump but his approval rating is quite a bit higher than that now.
He won’t win NY but at least we’ll add to the “popular” vote numbers to shut up dems.
Typically the jews in mass would be marching on Cuomo and deblasios office but since they are partners in crime I guess not
Jews and Texans packing on the way to worship, Dear Lord I love American diversity.
I don’t blame them one bit. They, and all others, have the right to defend themselves.
History shows this very clearly.
That's about like some ho marrying a bum she knows to be a drunk, then complaining that he drinks too much.
Crown Heights. NYC
Hunting for sport is forbidden in Judaism. (It is considered animal cruelty.)
Hunting for food (or animal control) is fine, although there are complications regarding having hunted meat remaining kosher, due to what I think are poor rabbinical rulings from Europe when we Jews could not own or work land. Birds are fine.
Orthodox dont vote Democrat.
