Senate Minority Leader Charles Schumer (D-N.Y.) seized on newly released emails surrounding President Trump's decision to delay aid to Ukraine, arguing they underscored the need for witnesses and documents as part of an impeachment trial.
“The newly-revealed unredacted emails are a devastating blow to Senator McConnell’s push to have a trial without the documents and witnesses we’ve requested," Schumer said in a statement.
"These emails further expose the serious concerns raised by Trump administration officials about the propriety and legality of the president’s decision to cut off aid to Ukraine to benefit himself," he added.
Schumer's comments come after Just Security obtained unredacted emails between the White House Office of Management and Budget and the Pentagon about the decision to delay aid to Ukraine.
In one email, Michael Duffey, the associate director of national security at the Office of Management and Budget, told the acting Pentagon comptroller that there was "clear direction from POTUS to hold,” according to Just Security.
The unredacted emails are the latest round of new details on Trump's decision to delay Ukraine aid last year. The New York Times recently reported that acting White House chief of staff Mick Mulvaney and Robert Blair, assistant to the president and senior adviser to Mulvaney, were aware that the delay would prompt backlash from Congress.

the whole idea is to take the discussion off of the good jobs reports/economy-that’s why they are stalling, and they would love for us to try and get Hunter Biden to appear etc, the more impeachment is discussed the less the good economy is. We need to brush this stuff of and stay on message

Unredacted emails show Pentagon officials descending into a panic about President Trump’s decision to withhold military aid to Ukraine and the potential legal consequences of the move, according to Just Security.

The president did not “cut off” aid.
And even if he did, as president he has power to do so as a co-equal executive of the respective branches of our government.
The real problem is that Joe Biden is indeed dirty, and President Trump touched a Dem nerve that have sent the Dems and their 2020 campaign into a death spiral.

But the truth will come out about Biden’s criminal activity in Ukraine, its just a matter of time.Schumer can caterwaul about he’s found the smoking gun all he wants. Biden is going down.
We have had three years of Sem proclamations of smoking guns, and there never was anything there, and so it is with this latest attempted Schumer socialist Putsch on the Senate.

The aid wasn’t delayed. Ukraine got it before the end of the fiscal year. Democrats are whining morons.
Not sure where politician’s ‘get off’ on sending AMERICAN TAXPAYER MONEY to corrupt countries that do not support us. Recently saw a short video of our past UN Ambassador Hailey talking about how much US money went to countries that routinely VOTED against the USA.
American Taxpayers support corrupt countries and America’s ‘elected representatives’ and their families make millions $$$$$$.
Also, I am not sure if I would prefer these nefarious ‘elected representatives’ stand before a firing squad or walk up the gallows.

If they want witnesses, open up an inquiry in the House via HJC. That would carry enforceable subpoena powers...
But they didn’t (and won’t) do that bc it would give President Trump all due process and he would destroy them.

And the Dems have the nerve to say that the president won’t get a “fair trial” because the GOP is too political.
It’s the narrative that needs boosting. This is not new information but the ‘Progressives’ attempt to amplify their lies.

So it’s okay that Biden is bragging about demanding a prosecutor be fired before Ukraine gets money... Trump asks the Ukraine to look into the corruption, and in the process ensnares Nanzi P’s son, Biden’s son, JF Kerry’s family and son’s roommate at college, Mitt Romney’s staffer is exposed in the same scheme... then we find out that the Assistant SecDef was involved in spying on Trump at the Obama Administration’s inner circle’s direction. The Ukraine is the gift that keeps giving. The American people are going to find out how corrupt the DNC is, how dirty Obama is, and that US Taxpayer funds were basically re-deposited in DNC official’s family bank accounts - the gravy train and the people currently implicated are the DNC.
The only way to get around the Senate and Congressional committee negotiations to hide their own corruption from the American people can only be resolved by removing the people at the heart of the corrupt process.
