How did the #Ancient Civilisations cut and shape such intricate stonework like we see in #Ancient Egypt? How were holes seemingly drilled through solid granite? How did the #Incas create walls with perfectly connecting blocks of stone? Did they use traditional tools? Did they harness the power of the sun as I explained in a previous video? Or did they know the secrets of sound and this was a form of ancient high technology?

I found this guy giving various theories on how the Ancient Architects MAY have used natural forces or adapted some common technology to cut and polish granite stones without modern technologies. This is another one of this series and we have gotten a lot of comments and praises and criticisms which are all to the good.
I doubt we'll come to a conclusion that everyone buys into, but I damn sure ain't buying into the theory they used more rocks and rock hammers for the finer work.

My understanding is that, not unlike the Wal-Marts of today, they used Chinese pre-teens to do much of the more specialized work.

I saw a guy successfully demonstrate how to fit large stones together. He used a technique of slamming a smaller stone against the large, thus chipping off the right amount to allow stones to fit very tightly.
It was a demonstration revealing that this is one way a person could have produced those stones in South America, that fit very tightly.
His example was impressive.

We don’t give ancient people enough credit for having found ingenious ways of doing things that our own lines of thought and investigation haven’t yet accessed.
Some past civilizations existed for thousands of years; and it seems that people could have observed a lot of things and - by virtue of their unique mindsets - figured out some very clever stuff, in all of that time.
We think that we are the first, great ‘scientific’ civilization; but other and very different approaches to ‘science’ may have gone before.

I agree.
I’m am quite saddened by the destruction of the Library at Alexandria.
Erasing all that knowledge from the past, it’s an amazing act of ignorance.

Another way to create those massive perfectly fitting stones is to come up with a superior formula for a concrete and stack bags full of the stuff. Instant perfect blocks.

Modern people living in incredible luxury, taking all for granted, grossly underestimate how brute force & prolonged experience can produce quality results.
As my father was fond of saying, “brute force and ignorance gets the job done.”

I don't think it's clear how much was actually destroyed - maybe a lot of things made their way to safety:

(You don't have to burn a library to destroy knowledge; you can do it by edict. They don't seem to teach American History in public schools, anymore.)

Libraries have discarded their old texts in America. Rather than fill multiple branches with specialized focus, they’d rather dump the books they don’t agree with, have half empty shelves, and stock the book of the month club selections picked by Oprah Winfrey.

Yeah, that would work too, but it sells short what these folks came up with. Here:
