We the people need to know why the Trump impeachment case has not been tossed out...

Posted on 12/15/2019 10:01:01 AM PST by Jim Robinson

We the people need to know why the Trump impeachment case has not been tossed out now that the IG report has confirmed that the case is built on nothing but lies and initiated by corrupt FBI officials based on a phony dossier paid for by Hillary and the DNC, ie, known false evidence used by corrupt prosecutors to obtain FISA warrants.

Comey and Schiff have both admitted today that this is true. They knowingly brought a false prosecution before the people and it must be tossed.

You forgot that Trump also strong-armed the white house chef to get 2 scoops of ice cream. A friend of a friend told me that he overheard it on a speaker phone while the elevated train was going by.

It’s a coup not impeachment.

It's not a coup. It's a civil war.

“Should be” is a very long way from will be. They can’t put the bullet, once shot, back in the gun. IMHO, they (the Democrats) have crossed the Rubicon.

The sad part is the GOP Senate will assist the Dem’s wishing to duck for cover by making another back room deal and a quick vote to acquit. They (the GOP) has a history of doing this.

And, once again, we (the people) are cast aside, as the swamp gets deeper and deeper.

It's not a coup. It's a civil war.

It's not a civil war until the Republicans fight back.

Why?

History.

Once the process is begun, it must be carried out to the end because history demands there be no short cut. Any short cut can be forevermore taken as an excuse for inappropriate use of power by those opposing the removal of the President

That was not a very bright statement.

War was declared against Hitler in December 1941. The ground invasion on the beaches of Normandy was two and a half years later on June 6 1944.

You can accuse our army of doing nothing but you would be wrong. During that time there was intense manufacturing, training and logistical movement of stuff.

At present, you do not know, don’t have a clue, about the war being fought. The main reason is...... the preparation for the assault is secret. You do not have the need to know.

I’m in the “don’t just toss it” camp.

This is the perfect framework upon which to hang every one of the coup plodd...erm.. I mean, plotters.

Run it to the bitter end. Flush them all out and burn them down.

There are at least two primary avenues of attack

The first is a trial in the Senate where some evidence or destruction if the impeachment charges is held and there is a prompt vote for acquittal.

The second avenue is through the multitudinous indictments for what will amount to seditious conspiracy.

Along the way there will be some devastating flank attacks that are prelude to the main assault

It will be devastating to many here because it will be obvious that the Republicans are united with their conservative faction in the destruction of the Clinton/Obama machines and the Democrat party in general.

To my knowledge, no politician has ever been executed in American history, and you know some, like Aaron Burr, deserved it. I can’t think of a better time to start than now.

We the people need to see swift, harsh justice delivered to the perpetrators. All the way to the top. Just moving on as if this bullsh*t is normal won’t cut it.

Spruce says it nicely. The R's are in control of a very winnable legal contest; however, the most to be won by a thrown-out impeachment effort is the mere cessation of the Dem's effort to remove Trump.

Many Trump voters want the R's to continue the political contest at a trial in the R-controlled senate by exposing, insofar as relevant, the range and extent of the attempted coup. Such a trial should add substance to the expected legal actions brought by Barr and Durham and perhaps reduce the duration of what will otherwise almost certainly be a long effort..

Significantly, a Senate trial will exact a political price for attempting the coup.

You should read the article I linked. It lists all the fronts the war is being fought on.

Impeachment is a political action which is supposed to be justified by legal matters of a serious nature....this one wasn’t. The founders warned of a one sided fiasco as this one is, but they can still do it. Thank God for the majority in the Senate because this thing is DEAD.

Well, the IG report was about the FISA abuses of the FBI, while the impeachment is about the President’s phone call to Ukraine. So they are two different things, really.

It appears there will soon be a news glut in DC. The impeachment trial may have to compete for attention with the Durham probe. He has wider scope and indictment power.

Trump wins either way.
One way, the case falls apart by the House vote. SCOTUS taking Trump’s case destroys the “obstruction” charge. The other charge complains about business as usual. Democrats would be wise to drop the case right now; they do have a strong sense of self preservation.
Other way, Trump gets a no holds barred forum where he can totally unload everything on Hillary, Obama, FBI, and everyone else. Left doesn’t want him in that ring.
Left needs an exit strategy right now.

Trump can have a ‘no holds barred forum where he can totally unload everything’ anyway....

Better we pray God has His way how this goes and ‘trust’ he’ll work it out for Trumps good and the good of the USA.

I’m not real comfortable about Trump testfying before anyone with a gavel in hand...better he wait and unload once it’s decided and he can say anything he wants.
