So he's still got another ~3000 troops he could withdraw ... that's further leverage in case SK doesn't want to bother to pay, despite SK doing pretty good under the US umbrella ...

Get all of our people out. South Korea doesn’t like us there. Just Google it. Let them deal with North Korea on their own. And if they fall, oh well.

Not sure about Japan. But a lot of their snowflakes apparently hate us too.

Let’s take care of the USA. If someone attacks us, obliterate them. Otherwise, let our so-called allies (many of whom don’t appreciate and in fact hate us) take care of themselves.

South Korea has a modernized 750,000 man army that would defeat north Korea if there were a matchup of the two countries.Seoul would be pulverized by their artillery but in the end North Korea would be defeated by S. Korea IF China does not join the effort against South Korea. Our trip wire forces are there as much a deterrent to China as they are to North Korea should war break out. We don’t need 26000 troops as a tripwire particularly when we have trident missiles offshore that put China at risk. This would be a good start to reducing our forces there.

Okay. I perused many (not all) comments here. And, aside from the snarky comments there are several that think this is not a good idea.

So, let me ask this question. If we left South Korea and the Norks invaded and conquered the south. Exactly what affect would this have on the day to day life of Americans?
