... Working from the premise that the country largely agrees with them on everything, or that agreeing with the majority of voters on issues is not necessary to win, the [Democrat] campaign has proceeded in blissful unawareness of the extremely high chance that Trump will win again...
A new batch of swing state polls from the New York Times ought to deliver a bracing shock to Democrats. The polls find that, in six swing states Michigan, Pennsylvania, Wisconsin, Florida, North Carolina, and Arizona Trump is highly competitive. He trails Joe Biden there by the narrowest of margins, and leads Bernie Sanders and Elizabeth Warren.
... What about the fact Democrats crushed Trumps party in the midterms? The new Times polling finds many of those voters are swinging back. Almost two-thirds of the people who supported Trump in 2016, and then a Democrat in the 2018 midterms, plan to vote for Trump again in 2020....

I got a poll for ‘em.
Almost two-thirds of the people who supported Trump in 2016, and then a Democrat in the 2018 midterms, plan to vote for Trump again in 2020....
I don’t believe it’s only almost 2/3.
You KNEW what you were voting for in Trump. HE HAS been that person.
I know a lot of union guys who may vote D at the local level or even for a congress critter but voted for Trump and will again.
It doesn’t make sense to me but it’s what’s going on.
Not terribly surprising that a lot of swing state residents are Trump voters, and don’t care about the GOP otherwise.
The more I hear from Romney and Ryan and their ilk, the more I find myself moving in that direction as well.
:), its spelled pole. Very good observation, also a one finger salute for good measure. It was Hillary by 96% according to the polls. Fortunately we had the one pole that counted and a salute for them in 2016 and more on the way.
The problem for the communists in the Democratic Party is that its base is concentrated in big cities which have a very parochial view of the rest of America. As someone who grew up in a very small town in a very empty state and has subsequently lived in several of the biggest cities in the U.S., I can tell you that in big cities people can easily choose the people that they hang out with and they choose people who believe, thinks, and act like they do.
2020 election results are going to big city socialists like a “thunderbolt to the face!” Leftists are going to freak out because they believe they are the majority when they are actually a very privileged, vocal minority.
LOL
Im doing that !!!
Thanks 11th_VA .
Democrats have to ask themselves...
It things are going so well for most people, and the reason can be traced to one person in the White House...
What kind of sense would it make for the people to vote that person out, if doing so would equate to “f”ing themselves back into misery?
Take a look at this: https://m.chron.com/national/article/This-is-why-you-might-be-seeing-Donald-Trump-12773173.php
President Trump isn’t trailing’ ANY Dem, ANYWHERE.
I live among a LOT of LibTards and not a ONE of them is singing the praises of Biden or Warren. They HATE Hillary! And don’t even mention Uncle Bernie these days.
Not. One.
Trump. 2020. Landslide. MAGA! KAG! :)
As I have said so often, Trump was elected by Democrats, and if he’s re-elected, it will be Democrats again who drag him over the line.
This will not, of course, help the GOP hold on to the Senate or re-take the House.
Trump has kept his promises. Rare for a modern President. More reason to vote for him again in 2020.
I was thinking of one made of hickory, about 1.5 inches in diameter, applied vigorously to the head and shoulders.
