Like many other Republican and conservative voters in California, the retired couple have decided to leave the state. A major reason, Stark and her spouse say, is their disenchantment with deep-blue Californias liberal political culture.
Despite spending most of their lives in the Golden State, they were fed up with high taxes, lukewarm support for local law enforcement, and policies they believe have thrown open the doors to illegal immigration.

There is a group of us that go shooting twice a month on BLM property only 30 minutes from here. At anytime there are 20-30 groups of shooters practicing with all our firepower. There are also clubs close by

Yes. THEY are RED.
I’ll second that. I had an Uber driver tell me that he couldn’t get his family to Texas fast enough, but said he had to vote his conscience.
You see we registered on FR 1 day apart in 2000? Happy hunting!
Give up California without firing a shot? What the hell is wrong with you people?
Shots will be required to retake California.
Nobody has the stomach for that.
Where in Arkansas, if you don’t mind my asking? I’m figuring on retiring in the next year or so, and one of the areas that interests me is western Arkansas, maybe Polk or Scott County (Ouachitas). I hear of plans to run an Interstate from Texarkana to Fort Smith, though, most likely through Mena.
Well said. I suspect you are correct.
While I understand the blue/commie and red/conservative meme, I’ll never accept it.
Red Army
Little Red Book
Red Brigades
Reds, the movie
Red October
And other Reds I’ve forgotten.
Nobody has the stomach for that.
Do you propose the same approach be used for giving up Arizona?
Nevada?
Colorado?
How about Montana? Not that much under threat at the moment, but certainly within reach in our childrens lifetime.
As soon as Micro Rubio, Flimsey Grahamnesty and company get their amnesty the whole country will be theirs.
People will not stop voting for those guys, even when they betray them.
” for the most part it’s not liberals leaving the leftist cesspool of California”
Here in Colorado I have yet to meet a conservative from Kali. Not a single one.
If you buy another house for the same amount, and soon enough, you should be able to defer the gains.
Also, at one time there was provision that you could take a one time exemption for sale of your principle residence.
Not sure how the new rules might have changed this.
Jim Robinson is a California conservative. He doesn't seem all that left of center to me.
You bet...And the posers here who alleged or pretend to know how former Californians vote in their state, or make blowhard statements like, "Here in Colorado I have yet to meet a conservative from Kali. Not a single one", are FOS. As if run up and down the streets taking surveys from people they have no clue where they're from or how they vote. Or were supposed to believe everyone they run into they're asking them, "Hey, are you from CA? Are you conservative, and btw, who did you vote for?"
Yeah, I believe that as much as I believe they can juggle flaming chainsaws while ice skating.
My observations are mine, alone, pal. You can claim any fantasy that you’d like, but the facts are facts. You not liking those facts doesn’t change them. Colorado is turning deep blue in a major way because those coming from Kali are extreme left-wing liberals. You’re the one that is FOS, as are the Kali Kreeps we’re getting here in Colorado.
P.S. Your anger and temper tantrum is that of a liberal.
Tell me, how do your, "Observations" tell you how Californian's who moved to CO vote? Do they all have signs on their backs? Do you take a survey of everyone you come across on the street? Do you hand out political questioners to everyone you come in contact with? Does it start with, "Hi, I'm Mr. CodeToad, first of all, are you from CA? Are you a liberal or conservative and who did you vote for"?
Tell me toad, if you cold be specific, how does this work? What specific methods do you use?
