Democratic New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo blamed climate change for damaging floods in upstate New York, and claimed that natural disasters didn’t happen before climate change.
“Ali, anyone who questions extreme weather and climate change is just delusional at this point,” Cuomo told MSNBC anchor Ali Velshi. ” We have seen in the State of New York and we have seen — it is something we never had before.”
“We didn’t have hurricanes or super storms or tornadoes,” Cuomo added.

I remember a few hurricanes that hit my old home town in New Jersey. The storms only hit NJ and none hit NY.

On September 8, a category four hurricane descended on the town, destroying more than 3,600 buildings with winds surpassing 135 miles per hour.
Huricanes were recorded in 1532 in Florida. Is that after climate change?

He’s right. After the last ice age, the climate has been getting warmer. So there weren’t any hurricanes in New York until about 4000 years ago.
