The reality is as I see it is that Tulsi Gabbard is irrelevant

She dropped out of the congressional race and has no chance at the presidency. At best, she could end up on MSNBC

I questioned why Gabbard was running and one of my suspicions has been confirmed. She is *not* running for re-election of her House seat which makes it clear to me that she knows she wouldn’t win re-election. She thinks her lifeline will be some sort of federal job where she can escape the far left tilt of Hawaiian politics. She’s getting visibility from being on stage and acquiring a name.

In a way, she’s the Democrat version of Sarah Palin - somebody who came out of a low-visibility state who was the darling of some yet reviled by many others even in her party. Palin eventually decided family was more important than the persecution of being in politics and I would not be surprised if Gabbard eventually chooses the same.

Don't mistake respect for support or being a cheerleader.

I respect and admire her for her service and for the way she has tackled the major issues against her own party. Her take down of Kamala Harris alone may have prevented us from being cursed with President Harris next year.

Based on her military experience, she is qualified to speak on those endless wars, unlike all but one of her opponents. When she talks on that issue, I listen.

However, I wouldn't vote for her because of her stand on many other issues.

Its good to see the democRATS devour each other. Just because Gabbard is in Hildebeast’s cross hairs doesn’t mean she’d get conservative support. A rat is a rat.

As a Demonicrat Gabbard is pro-murder-by-abortion.

Tulsi is living proof that beauty is skin deep.

She’s a nice looking babe who isn’t a shrieking, screaming, hateful shrew like the rest of them. She is soft spoken and makes a somewhat delightful presentation, especially when she’s in uniform.

She is, however, a socialist (she supported Sanders), would take the life of an unborn baby, and, even though she previously said she supported traditional marriage, she now is on board with the alphabet people.

While she does support Second Amendment rights …
O rly? Obama “supported” real marriage back in 2008 too.

What says it all about Gabbard is her support for Bernie back in 2016.

You can like someone without supporting their political positions.

It’s context. Compared to the others she actually has moments of lucidity. A progressive who be disastrous if she became POTUS but she isn’t Nero.

My daughter works for a guy who is running for Congress. He sounds like a nice guy but she told me that even if she was a Democrat she wouldn’t vote for him.

He doesn’t seem to have any core principles.

I saw speculation that if HRC drops in to “rescue” democrats in this election, Tulsi would take the VP slot on Bernie’s 3rd party campaign. That, I would love to see.

.
Disagree. Not all military experience is equal. She is a Military Police major attached to a medical unit in the Hawaii National Guard. That doesn’t give her the background or experience to speak authoritatively on geopolitical issues or national security. While she rightly calls out the Obama/Bush/Hillary destabilization of the Middle East, she also is proposing massive cuts in defense spending at a time we should be building up to deter bad actors, particularly China.

That and we want her to split the Democrat vote and hopefull the Democrat party as well.
It would be nice if the Democrats could be split into two parties that passionately hated each other, such as the Democrats and the Democratic Socialists or something like that.

I don't think conservatives are a cheerleader for Gabbard

Then you haven't been paying attention, particularly on this board.

If Tulsi gets too vocal for the queen to tolerate, she better stay away from dark streets when alone. If she is a Major or LTC, she probably is packing. That part of the 2nd Amendment is OK.

While others like Sen. Bernie Sanders and Beto O'Rourke loudly compete for who can be the most extreme, she presents herself as a moderate alternative

She endorsed Bernie in 2016!!

In my eyes, she is just the tool the DNC used to let Hillary know that her political career is over. She’ll be in line for a plum job in a D administration if that ever occurs.
