Sen. Mitt Romney (R-Utah) on Friday broke sharply with President Trump's call for China and Ukraine to investigate former Vice President Joe Biden, calling it "wrong and appalling."
"When the only American citizen President Trump singles out for China’s investigation is his political opponent in the midst of the Democratic nomination process, it strains credulity to suggest that it is anything other than politically motivated," Romney said in a statement, which he also tweeted out.

Mitt Romney is absolutely hated in La Jolla CA. He bought a beautiful beach front house that was owned by the late actor Cliff Robertson. He tore the house down and built a new monstrosity with the car elevators on the lot. After the new house was built he flipped the property and moved on. I wish we could flip his Senate seat and get him to move on.

My guess is that Romney is planning to be the Republican nominee for 2020. He expects Trump to fold under the treat of impeachment or be impeached and convicted, and he is going to do everything he can to move that along. Like all Never Trumpers, Romney flourishes on delusion that once Trump is out of the picture, which they see as inevitable, the Republican masses will turn to him and the other GOPe stalwarts as their saviors.
