Me thinks the Queen has all intentions of seeing that the peoples’ vote meant something.

They could suspend Parliament for thirty days. Recall it on November 1st .

And watch the Remoaners seethe with rage over Brexit made fait accompli.

Proroque is a verb we don’t use in America.

In all the impeachment hubbub, Brexit fell off the screen. Wasn’t hard Brexit yesterday?

Its the Royal prerogative to basically send Parliament on vacation.

“Wasn’t hard Brexit yesterday?”

End of October - Halloween.

It is still on track, according to the article the PM just gave the EU his plan. He said if they don’t agree to make some changes in a week, he will essentially withdraw from talks, and focus on prep for a hard Brexit.

Pressure time for the negotiations.

The EU can little afford a big trade disruption now, as they are heading into recession.

Indeed. It looks like he is taking a page from the Left - "if at first you don't succeed . . ."

“how is that going to happen when it was ruled illegal.”

Prorogation is a normal practice. The court just ruled against that particular one, on a technicality.

They will just be sure to check off that particular detail, this time around. It will basically be over in the time it would take to go back to court anyway.

We could use an equivalent in the states then.
Of course, that ability would be quickly embraced by any new Democrat/Socialist President to make republicans ‘just disappear’. A two edged sword.

They want to postpone Brexit without triggering an election. Boris is saying if they want to postpone Brexit, then they need to call an election.

and we also don’t use in America:
lorry for trucks
WC for toilet
lift for a ride
slapper for a slut
barrister for a lawyer
bloke for a dude
johnny for a condom
winkle for penis
post a letter for mail a letter
gaffer for an old man
muppet for a stupid person
paraffin for kerosene
skint for being broke
birdie for a broad
totty for a whore
toff for a rich dude

etc....these slang words I learned growing up in India.

What ever you do, don’t watch Parliament reacting to this. I did last time, and it was not pretty.

You left out the big one. A big burly man asking for a fag is just fine over there. Over here, you edge towards the nearest exit posthaste.

For them it is a smoke, but over here it is a pole smoker.
