(Moderator, if I can't excerpt the BBC, please note)
Drone attacks have set alight two major oil facilities run by the state-owned company Aramco in Saudi Arabia, state media say.
Footage showed a huge blaze at Abqaiq, site of Aramco's largest oil processing plant, while a second drone attack started fires in the Khurais oilfield.
The fires are now under control at both facilities, state media said.
A spokesman for the Iran-aligned Houthi group in Yemen said it had deployed 10 drones in the attacks.
The military spokesman, Yahya Sarea, told al-Masirah TV, which is owned by the Houthi movement and is based in Beirut, that further attacks could be expected in the future.
He said Saturday's attack was one of the biggest operations the Houthi forces had undertaken inside Saudi Arabia and was carried out in "co-operation with the honourable people inside the kingdom".

And valiums are SO HARD to get these days.
And no matter how much it’s obvious that I need them, (or thorazine) doctors tell me I’m mostly normal :)
They should all have their licenses revoked!
Understand your position. I never mer a muzzie I trusted...spent 17years in the ME...KTA
17?? Wow.
Ah, I got carried away but to see ANYONE on this board rooting for ANY muzzie country, especially one that funded 9/11 quite directly, kills me.
I can understand saying “I hope SA and Iran wipe each other out”.
But to pick a side? As if one is better?
No.
What is the middle east like compared to what we read?
Your problem is ignorance
You repeat the dogmatic talking points in virtual ignorance of the present reality
I was thinking of surface-to-air missiles. They’re unmanned so you don’t need to worry about killing any pilots. And the perimeter should not be right at the facility so whatever payload they have lands away from assets or civilization.
Your problem is you breathe and I HOPE that at least you didn’t reproduce.
Cause you’re the most miserable #### I’ve ever met :)
Say hello to your make believe wife for me
Check out the picture below. The President is walking on the rolled out red carpet edged in gold.
He is in the company of HRH Keeper of the two Holoy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud
.
Saudi Arabia is part of genetic Israel.
In terms of Yehova’s scheme of things, this is significant.
Ignorance is not terminal.
Your ignorance can be cured by enlightenment
I usually hated everyone but was there just for the money. Long time ago. I was in Saudi when, during the Iraq/Iran war, the Iranians decided to bomb Rastunuraha ...we laughed.
Question now is...
Will we need to fight another proxy war for Saudi Arabia?
Are enough Bushies gone yet to prevent this?
Thank Obama and John Kerry for providing the billions of dollars that funded the drones.
The lesser of 2 evils. 8>)
50 cent VIX buyer of Oct calls popped up again this week. I swore next time he showed up I would load up. Didn’t pull the trigger.
Looks like he will, again, make a killing.
His timing is wild. Like he has inside info. Perhaps he was betting on something else he knows and not that that Drones would attack.
It is also a false dilemma. Much like how we killed the Nazis knowing that the Russians were also bad.
The solution to the problem is to kill Houthis,
Are the Saudis the good guys?
......................................
Houthis
Saudis
The Saudis have all kinds of modern military weapons but no leadership. Yemen is a small country trapped against the sea. It should be easy to defeat them yet 4 years have gone by.
I’m glad I filled my tank yesterday, 83 buck.
3.37 a gallon, pretty high but CA has the highest taxes on gas plus sales tax and fed gas tax.
Yep it will go up even though we produce enough gas to take care of our own needs.
So it doesn’t make sense for the price to go up in the USA.
The correct tit-for-tat move would not be to hit Iranian export processing facilities. The correct response would be to hit Iranian refined product IMPORT facilities. If Iran persists, then hit their refineries. No refined products - country will grind to a halt in a few weeks.
So it doesnt make sense for the price to go up in the USA.
Doubly incorrect.
We are not quite there on the self-sufficiency. And even a 5% shortfall can cause a price spike.
But, more importantly, petro of all sorts is a global market. We could produce double our own needs, and the price would still fluctuate due to foreign events.
