1% of Mecklenburg?
I don’t think that’s correct.

Prior to the partisan Democrat gerrymander this district was 73% white (2010 Census data). Now it’s only 60% white. Get ready to kiss it goodbye.

“only 2%”
I know you are getting the 1 and 2% from online. But I don’t think that number is correct.

So you’re saying that the blacks will never change their vote even though with Trump in the white house they are seeing employment levels higher than they’ve ever been in history?
Really?

Predictit just flipped to Bishop.
I'm in Union County, heart of District 9.
Bishop needs 60% in Union to win. Currently, he's at 58+, with 60% of the day-of-vote returns in. But the central part of the county seat town of Monroe (largely black and Hispanic) has already been counted. Lots of votes still to be counted in the western part of the county, which is heavily white/Republican.
Close, but I'm optimistic.

My vote might put him over.

Only a small portion of Mecklenburg (the big blue one) is included in the 9th district.

Bishop posting gains (so far) in Robeson County. Currently getting 44.88%. In 2018, Harris (the previous GOP candidate) notched 41.09%.
