The Deep State Will Face Justice Soon! Right?
American Thinker ^ | Aug. 31, 2019 | Peggy Ryan

"The check's in the mail" is a promise that payment's been sent even if it hasn't. It's a stalling tactic to avoid pressure from creditors, from those expecting payment.

That's the scam our government is running on the American people today, a ruse to tamp down expectations of justice. We all know that the FBI used an unverifiable document, the Steele dossier, to get a warrant to spy on Trump using the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act (FISA). This dossier was used to start a counterintelligence operation to plant spies in Trump's campaign, to get a special counsel to impeach the president.

There are tow FBI’s. Not everyone in the FIB is against the President Trump nor liked top management like Commie Commey. I think most think they can do more for the country by working in the system. If all were as bad as the top management they would make Mexico and drug cartels look like the good guys.

-- He violated our laws ... --

That's a popular view, but it's one held out of ignorance.

The press has a vested interest in maintaining a population of ignorant consumers. It puts them in position of power. This is just as true of conservative pundits as of liberal ones.

I've "checked" the laws that Comey supposedly violated, and the only one that has a possible hook (and even this one is weak) is misleading the FISA court. It is legal to mislead a magistrate to get a warrant. I doubt the FISA application has a literal "lie" in it.

On the memos, the worst he is in for would be a misdemeanor. Leaking is a felony only if the leak is military intelligence, cryptographic methods, or identity of undercover international spies.

-- The vaunted concept of equal justice under the law is a total farce. --

It always has been, and I'm surprised that anybody doubts it is a farce. The cops kids and the judges kids, the inside crew, they always get the benefit of "discretion." Other than a few scattered examples so the public can be treated to the lie that justice is even. Justice has NEVER been even. It says it is, the same way the press says it is objective. This is self-serving BS, and anybody who ponders on that for a bit agrees.

Low rank is just as bad. Not one FBI or CIA agent has stood up to tell the truth. Not a single one. The entire agency is rotten.

Absolutely. To the core.

If they were good people the threats wouldn’t work.

If they had integrity the threats wouldn’t work.

If they were like us there would be no “skeletons” beyond disgusting to use over them.

It’s WAY MORE than some.

I must respectfully disagree.

>>>Complaining about the injustices within the FBI is just as self-destructive and fruitless as complaining about the injustices in the military services.

You are indeed correct. I was in the middle of my 32-year military career and our base went through an "ORI" (Operational Readiness Inspection) by the IG. The wing commander and his Vice at the time had really been screwing my unit at the time (we were what was known as a "GSU" - a tenant unit) and didn't support them directly - but it was their obligation to support us. That was the support agreement and the regulations.

Well - I also knew that not only were they screwing us over - but I had come across information that they were doing some illegal stuff with construction funds - and lying about how they were obligating those funds. SO - I went to the visiting IG about what they were doing to us and what they were doing illegally (since the local IG was a bought and paid for "deep state plant" - hired by the boss. Going to the IG is the right of ANY service member (as any service member here can attest...and all will also attest it is an illegal order to tell you to keep your "mouth shut to the IG."

Well...the IG spoke to the Wing Commander about his activities and it didn't take "simple math" to put two and two together to figure out where it had come from. The Wing Vice called me and my commander into his office and let us have it. Now - he couldn't prove anything - and we denied everything (and lucky for us - other stuff was told to them that we could not possibly know - but the BIGGY we did tell) - and he even said "did I not order you to KEEP YOUR MOUTH SHUT TO THE G..D DAMN IG?"

I simply said - treading on EXTREMELY THIN ICE - well COLONEL - "Would that be a lawful order? I'm not sure - can I consult the IG about the legality of that order?" I was young and cocky. I thought my commander was going to stroke out. The only thing that saved my career was that both of them got transferred.

Did they lose their careers or pensions? NOPE. Both eventually got FULL retirements.

In SHORT: These were SMALL fish compared to the players we are really asking about. So NO. Based on experience - I most certainly do not expect ANY of these players to face ANY justice. I don't care how many "booms" or Tick tocks" or "Q-drops" - or "Lock her up" chants are heard. It's all a play....and we are the audience. Read my tagline. This is a theatre for the sheep. Eventually, people are going to have to decide to stop paying admission to the play.

Yup. That’s what I’ve been saying the whole time. No matter how much the guy at the top wants things different eventually he needs to work through careerists who are just working towards retirement.

“Whether or not Comey could have been convicted as a result of his leaking of classified information and/or other crimes should not have deterred the DOJ from charging him.”

Comey is nothing. Sure, he’s a dick, and needs to be punished, but I believe he is trying to troll and goad Barr/Trump into jumping the gun. There are much bigger fish. I want the Clintons. Election season is just around the corner. People have a short memory, thanks to the MSM. 2020 is going to be a roller coaster ride of epic proportion.

I hear ya. I subscribe to LTC Grossman’s theory of wolves, sheep and sheepdogs.

https://mwkworks.com/onsheepwolvesandsheepdogs.html

While most people are sheep, that does not mean they are inherently bad. What is does mean is they are inherent weak and manipulatable. Of course, I never said good people can’t do bad things. They can and sheep do bad things all the time, which I believe is the point you are making.

In the end, I agree with you. A good person doing bad things because the wolf is threatening them to do them else face the consequences is still doing a bad thing.

Yes, a bit of word gymnastics going on in my explanation but in the end, I agree with your point.

JoMa

Media, Congress and the Deep State are our rulers. So the article says and the “Three Families of the Mafia” are convinced. The one factor omitted is We the People. I still believe there is a portion of the people are willing to risk all that they have to re establish the Republic.

Maybe I’m wrong. Maybe we are so tied to our cell phones, our shiny new cars, our beautiful homes, our cushy jobs to really care about what happens. If I’m wrong, then we deserve every punishment God can visit upon us.

“What is one man against an army?” A good start.

That’s a popular view, but it’s one held out of ignorance.

************

Have you ever signed any oaths in connection with handling classified information? If so, did you read them carefully? These documents are very CLEAR about the penalties for not adhering to your responsibilities to protect the information against disclosures.

Any one else who had done what Comey did with respect to mishandling/leaking classified documents would have been charged forthwith. Look at the young submariner who took a couple of pics on his boat a couple of years ago. That’s what happens to “the little people”.

With respect to equal justice, it is undeniable that this has never been 100% true. And that’s OK because nothing on this earth is perfect. That said, the point you’re missing here is that INJUSTICE is now being flaunted in an egregious way by the political elites in this country. It’s being taken to another level that is in-your-face. They no longer care about any pretense of following the laws. In that respect, we are in another place now.

“If Justice is not done then I think we can assume that the Trump era is over, that reversion to the mean will occur instantly when Trump departs the Presidency and that if Justice is Not Done that will happen in 2021.”

Reversion to the mean occurred immediately after Ronald Reagan left office in January 1989.

It doesn't matter president Trump's opinion on this as these are our elections they fargged with and we have the right to know who and how - and now damn it we've been plenty patient.

Here is the the thing it would expose means and methods of our CIA/NSA and pals because they were illegally using them to spy on massive amounts of Americans - including the political candidates.

The fact this stuff is classified is damning - thats why they needed that bogus Russia crap to some how justify turning weapons of war on their own citizens.

The oath you signed is boilerplate. It covers all the possible ramifications of violating what you agree to. Not all of the ramifications are ten years in jail.

-- Any one else who had done what Comey did with respect to mishandling/leaking classified documents would have been charged forthwith. --

Hillary.

Just joking on that one. The devil is in the details. Have you read the leak statutes or the summaries of how and when they are applied?

Leaks and the Law - a good starting point.

-- Look at the young submariner who took a couple of pics on his boat a couple of years ago. --

The charge against Kristian Saucier was creation and retention of national defense information, 18 USC 793(e). This statute has a clinical definition of "defense information." I'm not saying I agree that charging him was wise, just pointing out what the charge was. The contents that he created and retained are not the same as the contents that Comey created and retained. Comey notes of meeting with Trump do not contain "defense information."

I totally agree that what the government did against the public in this case is over the top. My point is that the law does not possess a remedy for this. The law will tell you it does, because the people who run the law (people like Comey, Lynch, Holder, the judges) want to maximize their power over the people. Do you trust them? Well, do you?

The press is working mightily to gin up ignorant outrage. And it is doing superbly.

Yeah I think I'm finally on Snowden did the right thing bus. Him going to China and Russia first pissed me off but now after seeing what the CIA/NSA was doing on president Obama behalf and at his directive - I think it was probably a calculated bet that he had a better chance of the Chinese and Russians not killing him then the USA

Nice thought huh? I believe he was working on the dual decryption of messages so that spies could give up a code that revealed a false plaintext. These people are killers - paid killers
