The two guards who were in the jail unit where Jeffrey Epstein apparently killed himself fell asleep and failed to check on him for about three hours, then falsified records to cover up their mistake, a law enforcement official and a prison official said on Tuesday.

Is there a medical cause for their sleeping (sleep apnea or narcolepsy)?
Because he never tried to commit suicide in the first place.
Were the cameras really down? I’ve read rumors but no reports from media.

The guards at Jesus tomb said the same thing, and they were paid well for it.
What’s the odds that 2 guards both simultaneously fall asleep for the same 3 hours each, hmmm? Were they both sitting in chairs right next to each other, or sleeping on cots somewhere? Were they both together, or were they simultaneously falling asleep in 2 different locations from each other? Were either of them or both, located very near Jeffrey Epstein’s cell, or were they far far away from it? And did they both wake up simultaneously in order to go to Epstein’s cell to find his dead body?
No other guard in the halls of the prison in the area near Epstein’s cell wandered past these 2 guards, or saw 1 much less 2 sleeping officers who were supposed to be working, and shake them awake? Did the 2 guards not have to check in, or make a call by cell phone to the main desk, at any time during the 3 hours they were supposed to be working and awake?
Did any staff member ever give these 2 guards a phone call to check up on them? Are there no checks and balances on guards knowing it is the middle of the night and that they might just fall asleep? Or were the staff at the main desk sleeping for those same 3 hours too? So many questions, so little time. Answers needed, as this whole episode stinks to high heaven.

Ideally. Sadly, at that moment in time the cameras weren’t recording.

So that they could quickly lay it at the feet of the federal bureaucracy with AG Barr being the Head of the DOJ, therefore blaming Barr and Trump as we all know this is all Trump’s fault; he is ultimately to blame.
Thus taking the heat off the prison staff and laying it at the feet of the President and his AG. It’s called immediately attempting to change the narrative and point the finger of guilt away from the prison Admin and on to the Trump Admin.

Yeh, the notion that these guards were “forced” to work 80 hr weeks is total bull $h!t. Those guys (union hourly employees) are notorious foe riding and padding the clock. How do they do it? By sleeping on the job. If researched, it will be found that many of these guys are pulling down $250,000 per year or more. Pure stealing from the taxpayer.
My thought also. Think that’s why we are waiting on toxicology. Others suspect the same.
I read that the director of the facility is a civil service hack, a woman with virtually no prior administrative experience in anything, much less prison administration, and the head warden (who has since been fired) was a Senegalese with absolutely no prior prison training or experience. So, yes, it’s conceivable that the mismanagement that the place was so out of control that nobody knew or cared what the guards were doing or where they were at any given moment.
Still, the convenient “everybody was sleeping on the job “ narrative is simply beyond belief.
