Jeffrey Epstein's death may never be conclusively determined, because we're told standard practice in the area where he was detained is that cameras do not point inside cells.
Sources familiar with the correctional facility in question tell TMZ, there are cameras in the Special Housing Unit -- the SHU -- but SOP is that cameras do not point into the cells. We're told cameras capture, among other things, the doors to each cell to determine if anyone walks in or out, but they don't point inside.
One source familiar with the facility says the drill is for guards to pass by each cell in intervals ranging from 15 to 30 minutes depending on the circumstances.
Unless there's a one-off cell with a camera pointing inside -- and we're told there have been rare situations where this is the case -- the time and manner of his death may never be captured.

Surprise! surprise! surprise!
Our county jail in Illinois back in the 1980s had a camera aimed towards every cell.
Won’t they tell us WHO got into the cell to KILL him.....or did they POISON him??
I wonder how long a camera records before it loops and erases the recording...or if it records at all instead of just being live.
If no one entered the cell then by default it was a suicide. The specifics can be inferred from the implements and position in which he was found.
What a surprise, I’m gobsmacked!
Put the guards in prison.
With the general population.
Theyve gotta get their stories straight! First they said there were cameras but they had malfunctioned, and now theyre saying the cameras wouldnt have shown anything anyway.
Well, even if they couldnt be pointed into the cell itself, they would have shown somebody going into or out of the cell. So guys, what is it?
Sounds like the Clinton Foundation paid for cooperation from the whole prison...and the threat of death is buying their silence.
Everything they are saying is obviously so fraudulent and hypercoincidental...yet *THEY* expect us all to buy it and go away.
Here’s a winning question...who exactly is *THEY*???
I once shot a deer that stood in front of one of my trail cameras. Had it set to video for 1 minute, with a one second break between videos. Killed the deer, missed the video.
Is there ANYONE in the western hemisphere, or eastern for that matter, that believes ANY OF THIS?!?!?
Even if one (or many) is stupid enough and blinded enough to think Trump did it, AT LEAST they still know it wasn’t a suicide and don’t buy the camera nonsense.
I just wonder who did the killing. An Irish gangster killed Whitey. No real reason to follow up on killing him because no one really cared that Whitey died.
But will epstein’s killer be killed down the line?
WUT?! Shlepsteen is dead?
“Put the guards in prison.”
According to a paper in the UK, the guards had been working continuous overtime. There were two of them. They were supposed to check all the prisoners every thirty minutes.
Let’s suppose you work with that crew. You would know who would do the job regardless and who had bad bunions and hemorrhoids and spent much of the time sitting. You assign them to work overtime so they are good and tired as you know exactly what they will and won’t do when they are tired. Then, you can have somebody enter and leave the cell.
There was an interview with a former prisoner in that section. He said that the sheets would not support the weight of a man. There was no way, in his opinion, that anybody who weighed 200 pounds could hang himself in the cell.
This is the worst black eye the government has had since Benghazi. I suspect the guards will be thrown under the bus. But, it’s likely if this wasn’t a suicide, they were set up to take the fall. Probably, they are clueless.
This is worse than a 1940's mob movie, but it doesn't matter that nobody believes it was suicide because there's no proof of whodunit.
Someone suggested poison...I would certainly look into that idea.
15 minutes? Choke on this.
Continuous overtime....Let’s see just how much overtime these guards accumulated this year already.
