A professional surfer in Florida was injured Saturday when a shark bit his elbow, leaving him bloody and with deep tooth marks.
According to WJXT, surfer Frank O'Rourke was surfing at Jacksonville Beach around 3:30 p.m. when the shark latched onto his arm, knocking him off his board.
O'Rourke's friend, RJ Berger, saw the whole thing happen.
"He was right there behind the wave and boom, that's when he got hit," Berger said.
Berger said O'Rourke was treated by a lifeguard but did not go to a hospital, even though Berger said he thinks his friend could have used a stitch or two.
"He immediately went to the bar, because he was like, 'Hey, I got bit by a shark,'" Berger said. "And people were like, 'I'll buy you drinks.' So he hung out at the pier."
A surfer himself, Berger says it won't stop him from hitting the waves.
"It's inevitable, it's going to happen," Berger said. "It's happened to a couple of my friends. It doesn't bother you, but I mean, if it's gonna happen, it's gonna happen. There's nothing much you can do to really stop that, so try not to worry about it."

I did, because I was hanging out with my brother and he drinks like a fish plus I can barely remember that night which means I was loaded. And what made it especially irritating is we were watching the TV and they had all these people celebrating in Times Square New York city as if New Years was happening. It was like watching fools celebrate Armageddon, the same crap would have happened had Hillary won in 2016. Actually if she succeeded in stealing the election. We would have never heard the end of it, parades, fireworks, TV shows on her life, children bringing her flowers.
Yeah, here it is, this is the crap we were watching..Compare this to when Trump won and they were all crying. Who is the real racists here? Yeah. And I can tell you that it's the worst feeling in the world when you are the nurse at the triage desk, you know exactly what is happening, and before you can even hit the "Oh Shit" button it's all over and there wasn't a thing in the world anyone could have done to stop it. Complete exsanguination occurred in a matter of seconds.
The horror and powerlessness I felt at that moment still bites hard.
