German economy in 'freefall' as exhausted Draghi loses his magic
The UK Telegraph ^ | July 25, 2019 | Ambrose Evans-Pritchard

Posted on 07/28/2019 6:49:34 AM PDT by Trump20162020

German industry is in the deepest slump since the global financial crisis and threatens to push Europe’s powerhouse economy into full-blown recession. The darkening outlook is forcing the European Central Bank to contemplate ever more perilous measures.

The influential Ifo Institute in Munich said its business climate indicator for manufacturing went into “free fall” in July as the delayed damage from global trade conflict takes its toll and confidence wilts. It goes far beyond the woes of the car industry. More than 80pc of Germany’s factories are in outright contraction.

It sounds like a perfect time for the EU to make sure England’s Brexit discourages purchasing from the EU!

Obviously, the solution is to expand the already generous social safety net.

Wonder how much impact the Muslim workers have had on their manufacturing bottom line? I mean, they need 8-10 prayer breaks and time to slaughter & cook a live goat for lunch each day.

That’s GOT to cut into overhead. ;)

The Germans have squandered a huge amount of capital into the green craze. There has been virtually no return on investment. The cost of electricity is rising and the cost for transportation of all sorts discourages commerce and efficiency. VW can’t sell profitably its electric vehicles. Deutsche Bank which financed the green craze is sitting on a portfolio of non performing loans and is in real trouble. They hate Trump because he put a stop to most of the nonsense in the US but the US auto industry under Obama invested heavily into the green craze and will go down badly. Also pockets of nonsense persist especially in California and New York. They too are suffering and people there are paying the real price for the capital squandered in high speed rail, windmills and no carbon energy policies.

Well, if and when President Trump expands tariffs on Chinese imports, American businesses will seek alternative suppliers both domestic American and non-Chinese foreign (including German). This will be good for all concerned — other than the Chinese.

It will be mostly Mexico, Thailand, Taiwan, and South Korea that fill that void... not so much Germany. We buy the crap for the cheap prices, and German made goods are not low cost.

I understand that most of the new immigrant workers do not have the skills necessary to work in new manufacturing facilities.

They do make Microwaves that seat 30 that they are willing to sell at below cost out of the goodness of their hearts.

(They became polite Nazis but the underlying thing never left)

“Wonder how much impact the Muslim workers have had on their manufacturing bottom line? I mean, they need 8-10 prayer breaks and time to slaughter & cook a live goat for lunch each day.”

That is more true than you know. About 10 years ago a friend who was a surgical tech wanted to participate in a kind of doctors without borders kind of thing. It was at a hospital in Niamay, Niger, and they mostly performed fistula and bladder sling on preteen girls unfortunate to already have had miscarriages. Anyway, I digress but could go on all day about these poor girls. There was no way my friends husband could go, so I helped, and traveled with her so she could feel safe and be escorted to from hospital in this very muslim country. One day she asked me to come and work in the operating room. Of course, I protested “I am an engineer, what on earth can I possibly contribute to a surgery?” “Tons” she said. She said there were an unlimited amount of tasks I could do the help her and the doctors. I was to he non sterile and not touch anything at all that is sterile including bumping into instrument tables or people. I could bring instruments and the correct suture, or bedadyne, or water, or even film the procedures. I was taught the how to open sterile packages onto the tables without contaminating anything. Even got to help the doctors do rounds. I got to do all these things not because they did not have local nurses and techs, but for two simple reasons. 1) I spoke english and could follow all of the doctors and techs commands promptly and to the letter, but more importantly, not being muslim, I did not literally walk out of an active surgery where the patient is opened up to go pray several times a day.

Feel free. The problem is that the West has squandered an inordinate amount of capital into the non productive green craze. It is reminiscent of the capital squandered in the sub prime loan crisis where politicians forced banks to make unproductive loans that eventually collapsed the US economy.( of course globalist foreign entanglements that squandered trillions in material treasure and the death of thousands and the physical and psychological maiming of tens of thousands more as well as the protean effects of the 9/11 damage contributed mightily to the collapse.)

Good news. Germans deserve all the suffering they can get and more. The asswipes that continue to support Merkel need to starve a bit to clear their brains. What hurts Germany helps freedom. It has always been this way.

But, you’re probably right about skill sets of immigrants, in general, so by all means - lets import some more! Yeesh!

Or import a few million 3rd world people who hate the German people. That's always great for morale.
