Sen. Kamala Harris has catapulted into a virtual tie with Joe Biden in the race for the Democratic presidential nomination following her widely praised debate performance last week, a new national poll released Tuesday showed.
The latest Quinnipiac University poll showed Biden with 22 percent support and Harris with 20 percent — a double-digit jump for her since the university's previous poll last month.
Sens. Elizabeth Warren, D-Mass., and Bernie Sanders, I-Vt., were in third and fourth place in the poll, with 14 percent and 13 percent, respectively. South Bend, Indiana, Mayor Pete Buttigieg came in fifth with 4 percent support.
Biden's two percentage point lead over Harris was within the poll's margin of error of plus or minus five percentage points.
The poll suggests a substantial upswing for Harris and a notable decline for the former vice president.

The media is going to have to work very hard to turn their images into something that they aren’t so as to convince the people to vote for them.
The media is very skilled. They turned an America-hating m*zzy-loving marxist half-black gay into a committed Christian, intelligent, sensible, America-loving heterosexual Black. Quite a feat!
They’ll have to turn biden into a mentally sharp, wise statesman who respects women. They’ll have to turn kamala into a strong, America-loving woman with no marxist tendencies and a wealth of super solutions for the problems in this country.
Won’t convince me.
Race trumps gender and everything else with most blacks, so yes, they will vote for Harris like they did Obama.
