Yep. I’m perfectly willing to support equal rights for gay people, all the legal protections of marriage even though I’d classify it as civil union, etc etc. BUT....do not shove it in my face 24/7 and then demand that I “accept” it or say I don’t find it gross. If its any comfort to you gay people, I don’t like it when completely heterosexual people play tonsil hockey or worse in public either. Get a room. Nobody wants to see that.

Have some respect for those around you by not shoving your personal life right in their faces and then demanding that they approve of it.

I am waiting with anticipation for Mayor Pete to plant a big wet one on the lips of his "husband" at the Democratic National Convention (or at another comparable venue). The nation will collectively say "Ewwwww!"

Years ago we obtained some Hollywood Bowl tickets. My wife, a couple of her friends and I went to the event. When we arrived, we found that it was Gay Pride night or some such.

Every entertainer had to make comments from the stage being supportive of homosexuality. Gak!

The icing on the cake was four homosexual guys who sat in the seats behind us groping each other throughout the event.

We ignored them not making a single move that would let them know we even noticed. The seemed to try to make us notice them. They had to have been quite disappointed.

In truth their behavior and the antics on stage made the night a real washout.

At another time we went to a Bed Midler concert in Orange County, CA. Bet spent about one third of her time on stage talking about homosexuality and the wonders thereof.

I used to like her voice, but as time went by it turned very ugly to me. It’s hard to appreciate someone who detests heterosexuals to the point they’ll insult them in public boldly.

Pay high prices for tickets to an event where you are regularly insulted and harassed.

I think I’d rather save the money, stay home and just bang my head against the wall.

We bought the tickets through our work personnel department. Didn’t notice any mention of it being an event celebrating homosexuality.

I pretty much quit going to public events. Don’t feel comfortable in crowds, not even “good” crowds, like at a baseball game.

It seems to have become open season on older folks these days.

I’m 68 now, and I find myself having to be more aware of my surroundings than I used to be.

Most people are decent, but it only takes one small group of people who aren’t to alter the rest of your life.

I was somewhat tolerant of it but this June they went way over top with it. It was everywhere all the time. I dread June next year. Now I am absolutely sick of them.
