An anonymous, but wise, Wyoming rancher recently summarized special counsel Robert Mueller's report in clear middle-America language: "We know that old boy didn't actually steal any horses, but he's obviously guilty of trying to avoid being hanged for it."
The House Judiciary Committee, led by Rep. Jerrold Nadler (D-N.Y.), wants a hangin' no matter what. We know they're serious because they had former Nixon counselor John Dean testify, which had everyone in America under age 60 searching Google. The parallels to Watergate apparently are uncanny in the minds of some. Next up: Maybe Robert DeNiro, since his resemblance to Bob Mueller on "Saturday Night Live" is uncanny, too.
Let's face it, Congress seems little more than a parody now. The legislative branch of our constitutional government has withered to a thin twig, completely overshadowed by the executive and judicial branches that have far more impact on our lives.
Congress's popularity hovers just above that of human traffickers. Their job description is to pass important laws and a budget. They've done neither, consistently, for years. Immigration, cybersecurity, violent crime and drug trafficking, the environment ... basically, crickets. Their constitutional responsibilities to declare war and ratify treaties have been bypassed by the executive branch for decades. We essentially are down to 2.1 branches of government.
As a result, Congress has rolled over and abandoned America's right to sober, statesman-like, bipartisan lawmaking in exchange for political demagogue theater, which attracts the news media and gets the politicians on TV. This leads to notoriety, which leads to fabulous personal wealth - an all too familiar pattern now for those elected to Congress.

Nailed it.
Congress’s popularity hovers just above that of human traffickers.
The only thing lower is the media.
Nadler is a slob.
Pound-for-pound, Nadler is the heavyweight favorite at the buffet.
Unless Oprah is in town.
The only way for Nadler to win this race is if an anti-matter parallel universe existed.
Congress’s popularity hovers just above that of human traffickers.

Congresss popularity hovers just above that of human traffickers.
They must be polling someone else. Around most of the people I know congress is about as popular as flea infestations...
Nadler is the poster boy for Congress’ mental defectiveness.
The buzz is he’s subpoenaing the Trump kids’ kindergarten playmates. Seems a red crayon went missing.
______________
That is a keeper.
Nadler is anti-truth for sure. But I think Barr is for exposing (and spinning) only about 20% of the truth himself.
The fix is in for Barr and Durham to whitewash and justify everything and everyone one walks with full perks... We’ve seen it all before... Too many times.
I hope to God I’m wrong this time.
I hope to God Im wrong this time.
So do I. Because if these people get away with this the Republic is finished. Im confident that President Trump will win a second term. But what about after that? Who is on the horizon to carry on his vision?
There need to be indictments, trials, convictions, and lengthy prison terms. And not just for the small fish. Brennan, Comey, and Clapper in particular simply must be held to account. If just one of them is hit with charges the rest will fold like K-Mart lawn chairs under a fat man.

agree with prayers, you are not wrong..I t would have already been done..
Parodies are supposed to be humorous and fun. Congress is not a parody. Not even close.
Our Founding Fathers were wealthy men but willing to sacrifice that wealth and their very lives to secure freedom for all. If AG Barr and those around him do not hold those guilty who used their power to break our laws and our Constitutional mandates, then decent and good Americans have to accept that we are under a Deep State, Bureaucratic Dictatorship. I think we all know where those end up. How much is the price of freedom? History plainly tells us.
IMO....you’re not.
Great column. It’s a pity that posters couldn’t bother to read it.
