Sen. Mitt Romney with a New Mexico senator on Thursday presented a bill to keep electronic cigarettes and other vaping systems away from educational and child care facilities across the country, saying youth use has reached epidemic levels.

"In my home state of Utah, the use of electronic cigarettes has nearly doubled in the last five years, with young Utahns most likely to be introduced to vaping while they are in school," Romney, R-Utah, said. "By banning the use of electronic cigarettes in schools, we are taking an important step to protect the health of young people in Utah and across the nation."

I don't get it.

The vapor is just water from what I understand. No smoke to bother anybody. It is not even bad for your lungs. So who cares? Nicotine is not the best thing in the world to be hooked but neither is caffeine and we are not talking about banning coffee mugs.

Should they sell it to a minor? That is another question but once again they have not banned selling coffee or those dreadful energy drinks.

Does Congress have nothing else to do? Because I have a list of chores. :)

1 year for me. How many kids are not smoking cigarettes now compared to 5 years ago? Most ecigs are banned at school anyway. It’s a local decision. Mitt needs to work on saving the unborn kids and shut up.
