Ahh, summer vacation -- a time for kids to enjoy slip n' slides, lemonade stands, and...training to become the next generation of Antifa?

The folks over at PJ Media flagged this story yesterday. Out of the far-left city of Portland, Oregon comes "Budding Roses Summer Camp." PJ Media's Jeff Reynolds received an online flyer for summer activities for elementary school kids. Part of that notice was the oh-so-kid-friendly offer of sending his children to "free social justice summer camps and year-round workshops for Portland-area youth in 4th-8th grade." A closer look at the group's website reveals that this includes "a combination of community-building activities, discussions on social justice topics, interactive workshops, movies, arts, games, and free time."

Who puts on these activities? A barrage of left-wing activists who seek socialism in the United States.

For example, there's the Burgerville Workers Union, who views itself as "part of a larger vision for a world that centers human need over the pursuit of profit."

Uh, I have a question. How do you take care of human need without profit? Oh. The 'sandy O' way. "Just pay for it."

I don’t approve of all this tactics, but that may be me being misled by the media too.

There is clearly a problem with efforts to overthrow this government, this form of Republic, the Capitalist system.

If the Capitalist System is so wrong, how did China leapfrog ahead seven decades in two? How did the standard of living of it’s citizens achieve such a rapid increase.

You could always do that...I grew up in NYC alongside a lot of red diaper babies - whose raving Socialist parents, mostly the children of immigrants from Germany and Poland - sent them to these camps in New Jersey every year. The camps were usually connected with leftist unions...a tautology, because all unions in the NYC area were ravingly leftist.

One of the most brilliant things the Marxists ever did was take over the legitimate complaints of working people (such as exploited garment workers, etc.) and make them into an unwitting force for Socialism.

Leftists do know the lessons of history with socialism and communism all too well.

They just choose to ignore it because they think they can make socialism or communism work better if they do it themselves.

Or they are the power elite who want to live the high-life on the backs of the masses they want to control.

Acclaimed economist Milton Friedman put it best:

"In the only cases in recorded history in which the masses have escaped from grinding poverty are from capitalism and largely free-trade. The masses are worst off in the kinds of societies that depart from that."

I’ve always said the upper elites who push Socialism/Communism saw it for what it was, but the rank and file who follow them don’t, and should be astute enough to see what they are being led into.

The vast masses of Leftists really don’t have a clue.

Look at the vast numbers of Leftists who want to overturn our government.

The ruling class isn’t made up of 50% of the populace. It’s a paltry percentage. Most of the present day activists would live under pauper’s circumstances under the new system.

I think it's even worse than that. Carl Marx was once asked by a reporter what his greatest goal was. Marx didn't mention class struggle or redistribution of wealth, he simply said "to dethrone God".

Many of these people know exactly what they are doing, which is what they want...to kill Christians.

The elites, like AO-C and Bernie, will be eating caviar and getting fat and happy while the masses will be left to scrape and starve to pay for the elite's extravagant, luxurious lifestyles.

The elites have no intention of living a poverty-stricken lifestyle under socialism or communism.
