I know we almost killed you, but how about a massage and dinner? Now that's what I call equity...
How about a promise of a free second stay... (somewhere else)

I strongly suspect a serial killer using ricin.
Did a little research today on it.
It’s easy to make and hard to detect.

Wasn’t there a story last year about people getting sick and blacking out at Mexican resorts? Some kind of tainted alcohol...

You would think by now with all the indications of those people being poisoned that the police would seal off the room take pictures of all the liquids in the room and send all the bottles to a lab for a determination of what each bottle contained. And also send a water and ice cube sample. -Tom

She noticed it didnt have fizz and assumed it was simply flat, but quickly tasted what she believed was bleach. But she didnt quickly pick up on the distinct odor of bleach?

I don’t think bleach would - in concentrations where the smell wouldn’t immediately bowl you over - make you vomit blood. But then I have never used the supposed lemon-scented bleaches. Pool bleach is pretty potent but again, how would someone cloak the odor? One whiff burns the eyes and nose.
I can see liquid plumber doing that, but not bleach.

Why are people so trusting?
I don’t consider myself paranoid, or even fearful. Just cautious and deliberate at times. If I opened a bottle of soda and it was flat and didn’t fizz, the first thing I would do is smell it. If it didn’t smell bad I would only take a small taste. Not necessarily because I expect it to be poison, but if it’s flag I’m not expecting it to taste fresh. I would probably do that for something I took out of my own fridge, let alone being in a strange or new place.

Do not go to the Dominican Republic.
Ever.
We have everything we need right here in America.
Including poison.
