The FBI tried to destroy the reputation of civil rights leader Martin Luther King Jr as controversial unearthed files reveal. Shocking details of the FBI’s smear campaign against MLK Jr have been found on secret tapes, it is claimed. Its is alleged the agency accused the celebrated civil-rights campaigner of having up to 40 affairs.

Agents honed in on King’s philandering and claims he fathered a child – claims which Garrow argues could lead to “painful historical reckoning”. Although the tapes, recorded by bugs in two lamps in hotel rooms booked by King in January, 1964, are ... at the US National Archives, the author unearthed the FBI summaries of the various incidents.
He claims they show King had extramarital affairs with up to 45 women and, shockingly, even “looked on and laughed” as pastor friend Logan Kearse raped a parishioner. The recording from the Willard Hotel, near the White House, shows how King was accompanied by Kearse, (died 1991), along with female parishioners of his church. In his hotel room, the files claim, they then “discussed which women among the parishioners would be suitable for natural and unnatural sex acts”.
... “when one of the women protested that she did not approve, the Baptist minister immediately and forcefully raped her” as King watched. He is alleged to have “looked on, laughed and offered advice” during the attack. FBI agents were in the room next door, but did not intervene.

And isn’t this the very thing we have to avoid here? Comey hasn’t clue one. He was so intent on getting Trump, he and his fellow travelers couldn’t have cared less about the damage to citizen’s perceptions of our clandestine agencies.

We now have to contemplate the internecine warfare going on between these agencies. Who can we trust? What actions are in the interests of the United States, and which are the actions of rogue elements?
This is something we should never have to question, especially as it relates to warfare between at least two branches of our government, implications for the third, and our rogue elements in the FBI, CIA, and NSA. And there are other agencies involved too.
Even the Judicial branch has been damaged. Look at these judges blocking things Trump has ever right to do as Chief Executive of our nation.
This isn’t even close to normal.
I think there is a big reasonable chance that the Spooks are behind this...as in
SEE..they have ALWAYS been out of control. It was THEM not us type of deal.
Understand this was already released by Reuters/ Newsweek for the most part Nov. 2017. About 95% of this salacious information was already dumped when Trump allowed the opening of thousands of sealed JFK documents. These files were ‘comingled’ with JFK files for some reason.
Only MLK’s witnessing and advising the ‘Pastor Rapist’ in action is new. The rest of this old news and has been confirmed by King’s right hand man -Ralph Abernathy.
He did have Communist roots and allowed Communism to flourish in his ranks. He was warned to get rid of them, but he refused. And then he died.
And like is mentioned at post #18, the leaker of this information was a long term admirer and historian of King that penned “Bearing the Cross,” a book on MLK’s Civil Rights Movement. If Mr. Garrow, just made this all up about MLK, then the King family really should sue him. It is doubtful that will happen, they have not acted for 1-1/2 years.
This has nothing to do with besmirching impeccable characters, Man, and you know it.
This is about brutalizing, degrading and raping women and treating them as filthy objects while parading as a Reverend.
He was not famous as a Pimp, but as a Baptist Preacher / Civil Rights Leader of both genders, not just men.
With that logic, Jerry Sandusky is a very fine football coach to be revered forever, as well.
And Jeffrey Weinstein is a wonderful movie director, Cosby, Nassar, etc. ad nauseum. spit.

The FBI had no warrant to conduct any wiretap. And the FBI was run by a prancing homosexual in women’s clothing.
Microphone characteristics, harmonics from multiple voices and reverberations in the room can be compared nomatter how garbage the recording is. Even differences in humidity on different days can be picked up. It would be straight forward for an expert analyst to confirm it wasnt spliced.
Of course, these days all those characteristics can all be faked digitally by an expert

If Garrow wanted more publicity or money, he’d have already written a new book. He has done impeccable lengthy MLK research for years. Garrow could have very easily recycled his old stuff with this new information and a splashy new salacious title. Voila!
That is not what has happened here.
Unless he was paid to leak this to the press, IDK, possibly.

When they spied on King, they were fresh off the assassination of JFK. So they were feeling their Cheerios and felt pretty Unstoppable.
We’ve never seen a time in history of someone leaving the side of another they followed and served with for years come out decades later or even a few years later to write a “memoir” about the individual they spent years with trashing the very person they were friends with? Further to that did he do what he’s been accused of doing? Watching rapes? Partaking in rapes? Says who? I’m sorry but I don’t convict people based merely on the words of others based on the old adage, “what have they got to gain?” Why weren’t these supposed crimes reported when they occurred? Now if these FBI files do produce actual evidence these activities occurred then sure I’m more willing to believe it. However I don’t go off “words” of others

Yes. It’s all basically been confirmed by the Nov.2017 JFK doc. release. So why this and why now?
And keep in mind, both agencies can still file to withhold or redact documents from the enormous JFK pile if they choose. ‘They’ selectively allowed nearly all of this to be released.
However, it required researchers and reporters to mine through the deluge. And what was released about MLK got a collective shrug from the public.
This is why the FBI King tapes were put under seal in 1977 until 2027.
I thought the prancing homo part was discredited and then they moved on to Lincoln, 16th. Every month there’s a new homo/hero and I longer keep score.
No warrant is likely true. But they should have got one if he attended commie school in TN and palled with know admitted Reds. If he’s leading political movements of unrest and disobedience coupled with Reds, then yes. Get the freaking warrant. That should have been quick and easy.
And so they kept the information quiet and then King went the way of the Kennedy’s.
