Stephen Montemayor reported in the Star Tribune Morning Hot Dish email newsletter earlier this week that Gov. Tim Walz and First Lady Gwen Walz hosted the first iftar dinner ever held in the governors residence on Tuesday: Plans for the historic meal, which marks each day of fasting during the Muslim holy month of Ramadan, have been in the works for at least a couple months: Walz first announced his intent to use the residence to host such a meal in March during a conference on Islamophobia [sic]. A spokeswoman confirmed that scheduled attendees include Jaylani Hussein, executive director of the Council on American-Islamic Relations Minnesota chapter; Afro Deli founder Abdirahman Kahin; Imam Asad Zaman; Dr. Tamim Saidi and Arlene Al Amin, among others.
We all know what CAIR is and understand that Hussein is its local operative. There is a good reason that the government named CAIR as an unindicted co-conspirator of the Holy Land Foundation at the trial of HLF in 2007. Andrew McCarthy tells interested readers everything they need to know in The roots of CAIRs intimidation campaign.
What about Imam Asad Zaman? Montemayor doesnt provide his affiliation. Zaman is the executive director of the local chapter of the Muslim American Society. The Muslim American Society is the Muslim Brotherhoods semi-official American branch. Hamas is the Brotherhoods Palestinian branch. Between CAIR and the MAS, thats one iffy iftar affair Walz hosted.
It shouldnt be too difficult to get a clue about the MAS. Andrew McCarthys The Grand Jihad (excerpted in the article about CAIR linked above), for example, provides an extremely useful guide to the world of the Muslim American Society. As the lead prosecutor of the Blind Sheikh and his friends for the 1993 attack on the World Trade Center, Andy acquired first-hand knowledge of this world.
Getting a bead on the MAS should be especially easy in Minnesota. As I say, Zaman is the executive director of MAS-MN. Readers may recall that Zaman first came to our attention as the principal of Tarek ibn Ziyad Academy in Inver Grove Heights, Minnesota. TiZA was the Islamic charter school that took public funds on the pretense that it was nonsectarian.
Let me emphasize the point: TiZA took taxpayers money on false pretenses. Zaman was the ringleader of the now shuttered TiZA operation. To say the least, he is a publicly compromised character. In my opinion, he should be on the inside of some Minnesota prison looking out rather than hanging out as an honored guest with the governor on the inside of the governors official residence.
Why does all this tolerance and acceptance flwo in only one direction? my old local Ctaholic church let recnt muzzie immigrants use the church basement as a de fact mosue for Friday pryers until they could establish their own. YOu think the muzzies would let Christian service be conducted in their facility if the situation were reversed? (for an answer look at Saudi Arabia...).
It all reminds me of the Churchill quote from Darkest Hour: You cannot negotiate with a tiger when your head is in its mouth!

Neither: he is disloyal to the US, a traitor.
Did they get Dickeys to cater the event?
Their pulled pork BBQ would be the absolute best way to break a ramadamdam fast
I used to think these kind of bad events were simply mistakes or due to ignorance
but there’s absolutely no way to maintain such excuses after all these years of Muslim attacks, murders, bombings, etc and etc against Christians, churches, Jews, America, France, Israel, Germany, you name it....they attack us.
Walz is off our list for any votes, support, or contributions
Wouldn't that really be the "The month of the Jihad Moon" ?
Christ is Risen!!
I dunno. An Orthodox Temple may NOT be lent out for muslim prayers. And if an Orthodox Christian even enters a muslim mosque, that means an immediate emergency trip to Holy Confession!
Indeed He is Risen!!!!
If I ever enter a mosque, I will be locked & loaded, as well as my fellow Patriots.
Then there will be an unfortunate conflagration. Deus vult!
Well, they did invite "Afro Deli founder Abdirahman Kahin". Sounds like they got the food covered, so calling a local goat farm could provide the entertainment dancers and make for a complete evening.
Dayum
My invitation must have gotten lost in the mail
So where is this taking place? What state?
Minnesota? The author is from Minnesota.
Why is Walz hosting hate ?
Governor Tim Walz, Dhimmi Cuck
Fits them to a T.
Islam is a religion of Peace. Peace to be achieved by murdering or enslaving anyone who refuses to submit. This needs to be trumpeted loudly and often until the soft headed morons get it.
Christos Anesti!
I am told by Antiochian Orthodox clergy—including Bishops—that in their “old country” of Syria (BEFORE ISIS took over) it was very common for Muslims to invite Christian neighbors to these Eid Al Fatir feasts and that the Christians reciprocated by invited their Muslim neighbors to Pascha feasts.
I don’t like the implication of dhimmitude on the part of the Governor, but, on the other hand, the Orthodox faith in Syria has remained inviolate. After all, we begin every Orthros and (behind the Iconostasis) every Liturgy with “Glory to God in the highest and on earth peace, goodwill among men”.
Christos Anesti!
I dunno, either.

Now if the Governor would like some tips on spit roasting a lamb for next Pascha...
Alithos Anesti!
By Middle Eastern standards, Syria was a very good place for Christians until the Civil War broke out.
