It's that time of year again . . .
Once again I fought the idea of having the shoot in the same place as the previous year. But after some convincing talk from humblegunner, I agreed that he was right and the TCMS has found a home.
The shoot will be on September 28 at https://www.hicksvillegunrange.com/
We have reserved Cherokee Village, http://cherokeevillageresort.com/ from September 26th ~ 29th. Please make your reservations by June 30th.
As usual there will be lots of food, fun, drinks, Scrabble and darts!

The good news: The shoulder is doing better I have about 90% + of movement back and have at least 50% of strength back. It seems to be improving gradually. About a month ago it was 0 / 0!
The bad news: there has been a “family” development that will keep me from coming down to the TCMS this hear, dang nabit. This is not a serious or bad issue but I cannot afford to be out of town for three days, especially on a weekend.

Been in a panic here this week. My food contributions will likely be store bought or made on the fly.
Got a notification from insurance on a duplex we own about 30 miles from here, if we didn’t remove 2 old garages from property by Thursday they were canceling coverage. The 2 of us have been demolitions experts without benefit of fire or explosives to assist for the past 5 days. Not done yet, I am trying to drag my body up off the couch to head back over now. We will make their Thursday deadline but when their inspecter arrives he better park on the street or random roofing nails may demolish his tires. Wneighbor herself is in charge of running the magnet, I’d hate it if I missed some where that guy parks. We go thru hoops with something every year.
And, I got a call from son-in-law in OK yesterday. Kids up there are out of skool Thurs and Fri so got to run to OK and pick up my grand-girlies Wed after skool’s out. S-I-L is down at Ft. Hood for National Guard for 7 days and daughter has a class up in Okie City Friday. Had to laugh, daughter said she would scramble for child care if needed but when I told her kids would be welcome at TCMS she replied, “I can’t imagine a better group of people I want to pour influence into my kids.” That’s you HG. ROFL
Will see you all Thurs. Very excited! Sorry, not sure about homemade pies. Will you still let me in the gate?
Oh, does anyone have any kid size ears we might borrow Sat for 7 and 11 yr old girls? All ours are grown size. Grown size will probably be ok for 11 yr old and we have extra there but not so sure abt 7 yr old. (The 7 yr old is the little gal some of you met up at our memorial for NY Texan at Penelopesire’s house.) With their mama and daddy these kids might be kinda redneck and hunt without ear protection. They’re likely gonna think that’s weird anyway.
I’ve got some of the little orange foam ear plugs.
We will have to go shopping when I get there. Not sure if lauren is going to make it. She’s been sick. Hope she can, but right now, I’m planning on driving over to Ft. Worth on Wed. and then down to Cherokee on Thursday.
Either that or tell me what you need and I can pick it up on the way to the lake.
Per your mom story: When my mom was mad, she’d yell at us “I’M GOING TO KILL YOU KIDS AND TELL GOD YOU DIED”. We thought it was funny...then. LOL!

I’m bringing pulled pork and pinto beans for lunch on Saturday. I’m sure we can sweet talk Pen into making her amazing potato salad. Just need someone to volunteer to bring some sausage and plates, forks and napkins.
We’ll be at Cherokee Village Friday, early afternoon.
Sorry you won’t make it this year. Hope all turns out well with the family.
I’ll probably head up tomorrow, so as to get there before all you objectionable people arrive and ruin things.
Also, what Vegan options will be made available?
