ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (AP) — Another large group of migrants was arrested early Tuesday after illegally crossing the U.S.-Mexico border, marking the latest in a wave of Central Americans who have been apprehended in remote areas of New Mexico, authorities said Wednesday.
It's the second time in as many weeks that such a group has been encountered at Sunland Park. In mid-February, 311 people made their way around a pedestrian fence under the cover of darkness before being taking into custody. That was less than 24 hours after another group of 330 people were apprehended more than 150 miles (240 kilometers) to the west near the Antelope Wells port of entry.
More than two dozen large groups of 100 migrants or more have been apprehended in the region since Oct. 1, according to border officials.

It’s time we consider illegal entry by any person who is a non Mexican citizen illegally entering the United States through the US Mexican border a defacto Mexican citizen with limited Mexican constitutional rights subject to their laws while transiting. As well as any Mexican citizen doing so. Subject to reciprocal citizen treatment a citizen of the United States receives in Mexico through the Mexican constitution on citizenship .
Besides being unable to vote one must also be a citizen to own land and Mexico is very restrictive about granting citizenship. Because of that a US citizen besides not being able to vote,and cannot have title in their name to any land property in Mexico. And until that is changed the US and the affected state should consider making that reciprocal.prohibiting citizens of Mexico or countries with similar restrictions from doing both voting and land ownership.. .
They just WILL not 'report' it correctly!

1. Gov. Michelle Lujan Grisham is among the critics. The Democrat has repeatedly challenged Trump's description of a security crisis on the border and recently withdrew most of the state's National Guard contingent, leaving about a dozen troops in a well-traveled corridor for cross-border migrants.
2. Her office reiterated Wednesday that a wall doesn't address humanitarian and safety problems at the border.
3. "Our Health Department has been to the border to assess what medical assessment and service aid can be provided and where," Lujan Grisham spokesman Tripp Stelnicki wrote in an email. "In the meantime, we hope and expect the migrant families receive the medical attention they need."

Rather we went w/ the cheaper and clearly Constitutional route:
- Eliminate the welfare state (talk about 2+ birds w/ ONE stone)
- Terminate ALL immigration for a period of no less than 50yrs (to assimilate)
- All govt shall be conducted in English ONLY.
As for “Enforce the law”, BEGIN w/ govt employees/agencies/dept. IRS can’t figure 20+ EITC checks going to same address that doesn’t match ANY existing SSN, they should be fired/eliminated. If VISAs can’t be tracked, they should be halted until they CAN be so.
Deportation should be a no-brainer, but we’re talking about ‘elite education’ here, so that’s right-out...
I saw that later. People need to learn that Los Angeles is L. A. and Louisiana is LA....Not the first time it’s been questioned at FR...really not difficult!
