Prediction: Second Term and Trump Finished the WALL
Feb 24, 2019 | street-lawyer

Posted on 02/24/2019 12:02:16 PM PST by street_lawyer

Let me begin by predicting that Trump will finish a wall of protection along the southern border, just not in this term in office. I predict that Trump will not only win in 20/20 but voters will bring in with him congressmen who will support the President’s policies. It’s going to be a swamp clean up like this disaster of a Congress never happened. Trump will eventually win as usual. Some of you, perhaps most of you were not pleased with my article predicting that Trump will temporarily be prevented from finishing the wall in his first term. Some of you jumped to the conclusion that I do not support President Trump, nothing is further from the truth. The progressives may be able to slow down the Trump train, but they can’t stop it.

I’m quite sure that this audience knows that if we had a democrat as president none of this would be happening. It doesn’t help that progressives make up most of Congress starting from McConnell and Ryan down to little Rubio who does support the national emergency. Progressives don’t want to see Trump succeed on stopping illegal immigration; nevertheless, Congress did give the President authority to declare a national emergency (NEA) and gave him power to enforce existing statutes, which President Trump is doing.

The question is by building a wall that Congress definitely does not want (Republicans and Democrats alike) and did not authorize, is the President performing a legislative act that is the province of Congress? Quite possibly. The way I see it the Consolidated Appropriations Act 2019 (CAA2019) was passed specifically to give progressives in Congress an argument in court. Congress decides domestic policy and not the President. Perhaps an argument can be made that a border invasion is not a domestic issue but rather foreign affairs. The Constitution is not definitive on this issue; however, the recent pattern, although not precedent setting as in court cases, shows that the power of the executive during times of national emergency and war have been expanded in the area of foreign policy.

Congress barred the Obama administration from using funds to transfer detainees out of Guantanamo Bay prison. Could he have declared a national emergency in order to use funding from other sources? If he thought he could, you better bet he would have. All of the enumerated presidential powers dealing with foreign affairs require the consent of the Senate. Former Presidents have used their “implied” powers to accomplish their objectives. In the past Congress has granted authority to the President to impose economic sanctions on foreign entities (International Emergency Powers Act of 1977). Furthermore in U.S. v Curtiss-Wright Export Corp. the court held that in international relations, the President is the sole organ of the Federal Government. Congressional legislation that effects international relations should accord the President a degree of discretion and freedom to implement foreign policy. The powers of the Federal Government are derived from the States and the States did not have power beyond their borders. Even before the Declaration, the colonies were a unit in foreign affairs, acting through a common agency—namely, the Continental Congress, composed of delegates from the thirteen colonies.

Speaking of how the president is the negotiator for our foreign policy, the court in Curtiss-wright Export Corp. wrote: This consideration, in connection with what we have already said on the subject discloses the unwisdom of requiring Congress in this field of governmental power to lay down narrowly definite standards by which the President is to be governed. One could argue that by limiting this President in how he proposes to protect America’s borders by imposing “narrowly definite standards” limits the power of the presidency in exercising his power in foreign affairs.

The President can’t go it alone. He needs new Freedom Caucus Members.

Rand Paul is the leader of The Blame America Fist Last and Always Crowd.

LOL is you pretending not to know of it. But then again like a typical Liberaltarian you do keep your head buried in the sand and believe what you like.

Must really annoy you that President Trump picked Mike Pence to be his VP. Talking about believing what you like, you can support Mickey Mouse for all I care...

Rand Paul dropped out of the 2016 president race on Wednesday, short on cash and support, two days after finishing with under 5 percent in the Iowa caucuses — less than one quarter of the support his father had drawn four years earlier.
Enjoy your cartoon.

It’s telling that you didn"t even blink at the anti-Semite part.

It’s only telling to a moron, about as telling if I asked you “does your Mom know you are a homo-pedophile?” and then you didn’t answer.

I’m not a libertarian, and I am not alone in having doubts about Mike Pence based on his actions as IN Guv and his seemingly tepid support for the President’s campaign positions - there areany others here on FR and also on Breitbart.

Funny thing, the old anti-Semite trope was thrown at the elder Paul as well, and yet von Mises, Rothbard and a whole host of contributors on lewrockwell are Jewish. Wait, didn’t the Rats try this tactic with Trump, because likely federal asset Richard Spencer gave him a donation in 2016.

As long as you make it the deal breaker out of the others, the others are simply an extension of the wall issue - it is an issue that only a 180 flip could save the democrats from themselves....

Where did Obama get all the billions he sent to Iran? Did congress authorize that money to be given away. I think he just did it.

Yep - over a hundred billion dollars to Iran and none of the butt kissers in the press asked ONE question about 'where did the money come from?'- - 'Did Congress vote for it?' 'Is there really an emergency'etc etc etc...

Nope, Morning Joe and his sycophants, MSNBC bimbos, CNN and the whole liberal press didn't give a damn... their 'talking points from democrat war rooms' didn't include such questions and attacks.

Keeping illegals out is on the top of my list. Trump is fighting for it and it matters. But it’s on the ‘top’ of my list - it’s not THE list.

Although we did not get an accounting for the totals, the money sent to Iran was ostensibly Iranian assets being held by various American financial institutions.

Obama did not use taxpayer money involving the congress. The money was on deposit in banks but frozen years and years ago by President carter I believe.

Thanks for the clarification, my Trump-supporting brother. And I understand the legal opinions and so forth.

My only point was that constitutionally speaking, domestic and foreign policymaking are shared responsibilities in which both the Legislative and Executive branches have roles. My point was that a president can and does have more practical authority when it comes to domestic policymaking because of the vast reach of the federal bureaucracy.

Court cases aside, one has to bring a case and then win it in order to deny a president said authority. That’s often a high hurdle.

But thanks for responding. #MAGA

That you think foreign policy should be determined by a political action committee representing the interests of a foreign country, is more revealing about you than anything i could possibly write. Link away.

Does your Mom know?

Are you even paying US taxes yourself?

No, I am laughing at you, because you seem all smug, obnoxious and confident thinking that I belong to any political party at all.

For all I know you’re not even a citizen of this country. Either way, you can bark at the Moon all you want.

Oh. Sensitive are you. For someone who first called me a neocon.

But what’s funny... it’s like you didn’t even know how badly Rand Paul got crushed when he dropped out after Iowa (IOWA!).

You been flailing and failing ever since so let me help you...

In 2024 things will be different and Rand Paul will not only get over 4% in Iowa and win it, but also win the nomination and the presidency.

Is that so hard? LoL!
Really is that so hard? LoL!

If Trump doesn’t finish the wall, a President Pence won’t either. Pence won’t ever get elected nationally at the top of the ticket. And even if he could, his instincts are neocon, internationalist, interventionist. But he won’t, because a significant number of conservatives despise the Bush brand of Republicanism.

Paul may not get elected President. He probably won’t. He’s fantastic in the Senate - maybe the best voting record there. He’d make a great President.

Oh. Is there not an apology for calling me a neocon? You know, since you were making me out to be the bad person for reciprocating what you started.

If President Trump doesn’t complete the wall, then Pence very well could because Trump would show he kept adding more wall like he is doing and then Pence could well make the case that he will complete it.

Pence would make a great President. He is very conservative, a safe hand, stands strong, and part of MAGA which is making great success in the economy and status of the US in the world. Pence also demonstrates strong Christian values that the Left attack him on.

You have demonstrated exactly zilch anything negative about Pence other than your personal animosity against the very good man.

Rand Paul is a cowardly pip squeak Blame America First Last and Always anti-Semite. Rand is a kook just like his father. He wants to decriminalize every drug because idiots like him want to measure their freedom in how many drugs they or others can get addicted to.

Rand Paul is a grandstanding fraud. He talks anti taxes but Kentucky is the number two state in taking the most federal funds. Rand is against foreign interventions unless it is about his personal health and then he goes flying up to Canada instead of spending many thousands of dollars In Kentucky or USA. Rand is a phony-baloney as they come.

Pence as VP of the hugely successful MAGA Ticket has a good chance to be President. Rand Paul, as I now forced you to finally admit has almost zero chance.

Glad to help you.

Oh. Add to that President Trump will be having rallies for Pence. Trump loves loyalty and Pence has been very loyal and will be rewarded by Trump for it.

Bad times for you it seems.

Keep America Great!

Pence failed on two signature issues for Christians. The first was in asking the IN legislature to water down protections for Sodomites whose intention it is to sue small private Christian businesses. The second was on the FAKE rewrite of Common Core. Moreover, during the Veep debate, he promoted Hillary’s neocon foreign policy. Now he has rehired Marc Short as his chief of staff. Short is an open borders shill about as far from MAGA as Texas is from Narnia. Personnel = policy.

Rand Paul was endorsed by GOA, the staunchest national pro-gun organization, is solid on economics, regulation and taxes, encouraged the President to make regulatory reforms to health care, and does not believe in an interventionist foreign policy. You can spout all the childish neocon crap that you want, but Paul is a staunch Trump ally on conservative issues, unlike Lavender Lindsay, and he can be counted on to be closer to the Republican platform than just about anyone else in the Senate.

You were going to provide me source of the leftist blog anti-Pence links but forgot. Because a dumbass like you isn’t sleeping with that knowledge.

Btw, the fraud Rand Paul was happy to threaten the U.S. Supreme Court nomination Brett Kavanaugh. But then he turned pip squeak.

I like how you pound sand after already having lost badly...

- Paul may not get elected President. He probably won’t.

Let me help you,

I posted Rand wants to decriminalize all drugs like his father. Rand hasn’t actually come out and said that but he has made a few statements that could easily be seen as going in that direction.

You are too much of a dumbass to even know or challenge it.

You can stop wasting my minutes now. Eventually a person needs to earn my time. Can hardly believe how triggered you are because I posted a little something about Mike Pence. That’s not normal my friend. People sometimes post about Rand Paul, I never went mental on them about it. Which from you included my mother and paying my taxes, weirdo.

I simply said that I would prefer Rand Paul to Pence because I think Pence is a neocon. You were the one who was triggered: look at all the crap you typed and links you posted, plus the neocon verbal diarrhea about “hating America first”. You launched into drug policy and federal spending in Kentucky. Who do you think proposes that, Rand the Jeffersonian or McConnell the Henry Clay fan? You raise all the canards that were spouted in 2003.

You’re in Berlin which means you are so triggered that this thread is keeping you on FR during sleeping hours. Eat a cookie, have a glass of warm milk and maybe think about your next birthday party.
