**SNIP**
You heard it here. Human emissions of carbon dioxide have saved life on Earth from inevitable starvation and extinction due to lack of CO2. To use the analogy of the Atomic Clock, if the Earth were 24 hours old we were at 38 seconds to midnight when we reversed the trend towards the End Times. If that isnt good news I dont know what is. You dont get to stave off Armageddon every day.
I issue a challenge to anyone to provide a compelling argument that counters my analysis of the historical record and the prediction of CO2 starvation based on the 150 million year trend. Ad hominem arguments about deniers need not apply. I submit that much of society has been collectively misled into believing that global CO2 and temperature are too high when the opposite is true for both. Does anyone deny that below 150 ppm CO2 that plants will die? Does anyone deny that the Earth has been in a 50 million-year cooling period and that this Pleistocene Ice Age is one of the coldest periods in the history of the planet?
If we assume human emissions have to date added some 200 billion tons of CO2 to the atmosphere, even if we ceased using fossil fuels today we have already bought another 5 million years for life on earth. But we will not stop using fossil fuels to power our civilization so it is likely that we can forestall plant starvation for lack of CO2 by at least 65 million years. Even when the fossil fuels have become scarce we have the quadrillion tons of carbon in carbonaceous rocks, which we can transform into lime and CO2 for the manufacture of cement. And we already know how to do that with solar energy or nuclear energy. This alone, regardless of fossil fuel consumption, will more than offset the loss of CO2 due to calcium carbonate burial in marine sediments. Without a doubt the human species has made it possible to prolong the survival of life on Earth for more than 100 million years. We are not the enemy of nature but its salvation.
Uh ... the lawn will make oxygen whether you mow it or not ... now get out there and mow it before your dad gets home!
That's not correct. The largest volcanic eruptions, e.g. Pinatubo, produces dozens of Mt of CO2. That's about a day's worth of manmade CO2.
(Clasping hands together and looking towards the heavens - "Thank you Jesus, for giving that battleaxe the heave-ho. Amen and Amen.)
no money to be made in Pro CO-2.
once the scam was set in motion, with free advertising, no one is going to admit it. There is still money to be made.
Good god we are terrible.
haha! funny! :)
Yes Essential plant food
Oh ! And the byproduct of making BEER !!!
Actually you need to look a little closer into this. “Dr. Moore is a co-founder of Greenpeace and served for nine years as President of Greenpeace Canada and seven years as a Director of Greenpeace International. As the leader of many campaigns Dr. Moore was a driving force shaping policy and direction for 15 years while Greenpeace became the world's largest environmental activist organization.”

So look a little closer. The current group of lefty globalists who wrestled control from those that started the group and were instrumental in bringing it to international fame have made every attempt to distance themselves Patrick Moore. This explains the reason why you left out the fact that he was a Director of Greenpeace International for seven years and repeated the party line about his history. The truth is more involved than how the commies currently in charge of Greenpeace characterize his history there.
The details can be found in his books. Here is the Amazon description of his book, “Confessions of a Greenpeace Dropout: The Making of a Sensible Environmentalist”.
Confessions of a Greenpeace Dropout: The Making of a Sensible Environmentalist is Dr. Patrick Moore's engaging firsthand account of his many years spent as the ultimate Greenpeace insider, a co-founder and leader in the organization's top committee. Moore explains why, 15 years after co-founding it, he left Greenpeace to establish a more sensible, science-based approach to environmentalism. From energy independence to climate change, genetic engineering to aquaculture, Moore sheds new light on some of the most controversial subjects in the news today
Nope, that just explains why the things that came up on my search omitted that information.
Personally I never cared for Greenpeace, even in its early days.
Actually that is “linchpin” unless yone is conflating it with an old KKK activity.
You analyze perfectly, Grasshopper.
LOL
No CO2, no Plant Life on Earth which means no other Life either.
I never cared for them either, but Patrick Moore's account as an insider for over 15 years and the fight for the soul of an organization that started out with good intentions is a very interesting read. Greenpeace would do anything to silence him. Here is an interesting discussion...

CO2 has nothing to do with anything. If CO2 falters, they will move on to cow farts (methane). The issue is never the issue.
Oh, ha ha ha. You must be great to have around when there are serious discussions. Somebody has to say Uranus and Klingons whenever space science comes up.
That's interesting - first time I've heard.
Most of the southern Indian Ocean - including the region where the commercial jet disappeared a few years ago - has never been charted in detail.
Just within the last two years, they discovered at least 10 new volcanos on the western border of Antarctica.
Unsurprisingly, most of those new volcanos are under the Antarctica ice shelves that are “collapsing.”
Also overlooked - no one has any idea how much CO2 is being pumped into the ocean from rifts and smokers on the ocean floor.
When the atmosphere warms, the oceans release more CO2, and a lot of that CO2 is coming from inside the Earth, and NOT from human beings.
Look at the damage that mobile life forms do to the Plant Kingdom!
We practice genocide on certain plants: calling them weeds and unwanted and even POISONOUS!!
We force them to do labor for us; giving us Oxygen to sustain us.
We take their seed and eat it before it ever has a chance to germinate, bloom and have a happy life.
We experiment on their bodies; forcing some to be the equivalent of an organ transplant.
We destroy their home lands and force to live in very large ghettos where we can more easily control them.
We conduct chemical warfare in their neighborhoods; so that they do not become stunted by illegal aliens living amoung them.
We perform hellish experiments on them to see if we can force them into producing more offspring; to see if we can extend their slavery into more harsh environments, to actually try to modify who they are and how they live.
I warn us all to repent and become strict carnivores, or there WILL be hell to pay at the Judgement of the PETP folks!!
