The lawmakers were U.S. Reps. Gregory Meeks of New York, Barbara Lee of California, Bobby Rush of Illinois, Terri Sewell of Alabama and Hank Johnson of Georgia, according to the data.
They attended the Global Citizen Mandela 100 concert from Dec. 1-3 to celebrate the centenary birth of the late Nelson Mandela and raise awareness of global poverty. In addition to Beyoncé, other musical acts included...(snip)

Become a ‘congress critter’ and you can live with your hand in the wallet of hard-working tax-payers and at the same time piteously complain about your low-paying salary and cost of living expenses.
Puke politicians living off our tax dollars. Not a care in the world. It aint there money, so screw it!
It didn’t get mentioned in national news, but the mayor of Atlanta and several city staff members....went off to Cape Town back in 2017. Same type of visit, at city expense.
I don’t have an issue if the individual wants to spend their own money, and it’s just a vacation. Once they say its for official business, or discussions....then it begs questions.
Go back to your roots and stay there.
seems to me these PACs are taking the place of the lobbyists that we didn’t want our politicians taking favors or trips or money from. There was a rule that a govt employee had to report any gift over $6 - so even if the PAC paid for the trip, it is still a ‘gift’ to the trip recipient. And large gifts are bribes no matter which way one looks at it.
Its good to be King.
I’ll take “Why are we 22 trillion in the hole” for $300 Alex.
But they’re D so it’s ok. Just ask ABCNNBCBS..
They should be forced to pay it all back but Im sure color will get in the way and those who oppose will back down
They should be removed from office.
They are dirty politicians.
No quarter for dirty politicians.
You a racist for posting this.
Our ruling class.
and Hank Johnson of Georgia, according to the data.

You can’t give an FDA agent a cup of coffee & a doughnut.
This trip was not funded with tax dollars.
By Draconian methods, if need be.
We are tortured by the Human Rights Tribunals both Nationally and in each state.
Time for state and national tribunal’s to ferret out dishonesty , graft, bribery, favoritisms, stealing, abuse of power, treason, and other wrongdoings by politicians and bureaucrats against the people of the United States.
With draconian punishments.
Better to have them out of the country than having them cause destruction here. $60,000 is a bargain.
