The Hartford Yard Goats are rewriting the lyrics to Take Me Out to the Ball Game after announcing earlier this month its Dunkin Donuts Park will be peanut-free.
The Yard Goats, Double-A affiliate of the Colorado Rockies, are believed to be the first team to ban peanuts for an entire season.
Peanuts are prevalent at baseball stadiums, making it difficult for children with peanut allergies to attend games. The Yard Goats held two peanut-free games last year where the park banned the item and did a deep clean of the stadium.

Typical Leftist stunt, ban something &or punish others because it offends a few.
I’m also allergic to leftists and socialists. Until this team bans them, I won’t give them a dime.
Perhaps people should seriously investigate why kids all of the sudden have nut allergies in such high numbers, where 40 years ago they were almost unheard of
Here is a search on why people fake food allergies.
Dunkin Donuts Park...
Hmmmm, I’m thinking this really has bugger all to do with peanut allergies.
Something to do with vaccination, I'd imagine.
I’ve been allergic to dairy products since about the age of ten, yet I would not want ballparks or hockey arenas to ban ice cream sandwiches or hot chocolate just because I can’t have those things.
So, you punish the 99% of people who aren't allergic to peanuts and deny a life lesson for those who are:
You are responsible for your own health and safety. The world does not stop for you.
Guess they won’t be singing “Take Me Out To The Ballgame” anymore........
Liberals ruin everything
Changing the lyrics to Take Me Out To The Ballgame to remove peanuts? Have peanut allergies become so powerful that merely hearing the word induces anaphylaxis?
I get that minor league teams live on promotions and this is a promotion of the team, but I also think it's part of the wider move among hysterical millennials and their helicopter parents to remove everything that is in any way objectionable to the little darlings. Very clever of the left to take advantage of this to push their censoring ways by grooming the millennials to be accustomed to having their environments scrubbed. Makes it very easy to put in place action, speech, and thought codes like we see on college campuses across the country and ultimately across all of society.
They should also ban unhealthy items like hot dogs, soda, and beer. And donuts (I have been to stadia with Dunkin Donuts—hey, change the name of the park too)...and baseballs.People can be injured by balls that go into the stands.

Dunkin Donuts Park? I guess the take me out to the ballgame theme song is now feed me some cream and jelly donuts.
“The Yard Goats” Really?
I refuse to play on a team with that moniker
Sounds like an Animal Farm team.
Folks, go to Dunkin Donuts website, download their nutrition PDF and read the very last paragraph at the very end of the speadsheet.
Dunkin Donuts in NOT peanut free.
ROTF!
I believe it was this incident which prompted it: Mom who let 4-year-old eat PB&J in shopping cart branded a 'monster' by parenting forum
A fellow Freeper was fully invested in branding this woman as some kind of criminal for letting her kid eat peanut butter in public (having the kid eating in a supermarket is somewhat different, and I didn't address that) and I felt that the parent whose child had an allergy had a responsiblity to their own child to teach the child survival and coping skills, rather than demanding the entire public change their behavior to accommodate a kid.
We see far too much of this, and almost all of it originates from the Left, of forcing behavior of 99% of society to accomodate 1% who have an issue of some kind.
