I read a story saying this was the second longest SOTU speech in history after one of Clinton’s.
The Clinton speech was 9,500 words and Trump’s was 5,500 words. It means Trump’s speech had more meat! And I’m sure, a more riveting talk to listen to.
Truth is, Trump broke up the speech with several great introductions to people in the galleries. This one will go down in history.
And so all the FReeper nonsense that Trump “was defeated” by the reopening of the Government went up in smoke last night.

It’s obvious that “they” cannot tolerate (ironic, huh) anything Republican. And IF, IF they ever get back in power, God Help us.

I couldn’t help but notice the irony of President Trump having WWII veterans and Holocast survivors there,
and having to state that we will never be a socialist country...
The WWII veterans - my old man and uncles included - went across the seas to destroy a socialist ideology; the Holocaust survivors were victims of that same socialist ideology.
One wonders what those fine gentlemen thought as they watched the demwits sit on their hands and scowl
at his defense of American liberty and freedom.

I watched the SOTU on CNN. My wife agreed that once the speech was over, we would go to CNN, FOX and MSNBC to listen to the commentators. Both CNN and MSNBC were in their usual condescending, Trump hating mode. Someone says one good thing and the others chime in with, “but......” Fox did a much better job with the analysis.
I turned to my lovely and said, “this is the reason people hate the MSM. Understand now?”
Yep.. Labor unions have been obsolete for decades.
I was hoping that once, just once, Trump would have referred to the Nazis as National Socialists.
Everything is in God’s time. It gets put back a week due to Pelosi’s cunning and we see clearly the evil of the Dems with killing babies and no compassion for them.
We can have them come across the border, but don’t let them be adopted from here. Trump calls them out on it and brings in Holocaust victims from Nazi Germany to underline their evil.
“Is she ever going to rebut the SOTU? I guess not. How can she? It was the greatest speech ever.”
I thought CNN’s commentary was the rebuttal. There was more?
I thought it was such a fantastic speech.
Best parts of the speech was his affirmation of America and Freedom, and telling us where we are with the holocaust occurring here. He told us where babies come from and that killing them is awful.

Frankly, Donald Trump showed himself to be the only reasonable, respectable and lovable person within government.
And the lunatic batshit crazy women dressed all in white I want no part of ever, for any reason. What a bunch of absolute psychos.

Yes, I agree that Reagan was a good, patriotic man who was not concerned with enriching himself. But, ultimately, he was not up to fighting the Deep State. IMO, Trump, like Washington, is in a class by himself - a Man of Destiny.
