It is interesting that demonrats are calling for this governor to resign because he might be a racist but are not calling for his resignation because he supports infanticide.

Although, unless Yearbook Committee screwed up, that pix HAS to include him - it’s HIS personal page. All the other pix are of him and his name is at the top of the page.
I have heard of politicians ‘walking something back’ many times, but Northam is the first to Moon Walk something back.
Whatever should or shouldn't happen to Northam, the picture is evidence.
If he were still a doctor, I don't think anybody should hold the photo against him, but when you have a situation where politicians' lives are ruined over things they did 30 years ago, what would make Northam an exception?
His first reaction was to apologize. So why did he if he is not in the picture? You can’t apologize first for being in the picture and later say you were not in the picture.
But if you really live here in MA and go outside, you do wear something over all that! At least last Thurs PM.

Me, too, at least until February 15th. (57, that is.) The nearest thing to ‘blackface’ were a couple of black eyes, when involved in an accident. AFA a KKK ‘dunce cap’, does a kepi with neck protection count? (The sun in Southern AB can be BRUTAL in the summer and something to protect the neck is required.)
Actually that might be an example of some white privilege.
Always look to the half-blacks to see where the privilege is. Let’s see....Kaepernick, Obama, and our local NAACP dude, “Jealous” (snicker). Despite also being raised by whites....what side do they choose?

A long time ago white actors would sometimes put on blackface makeup for comedy routines. At that time it rarely occurred to anyone to take into account the feelings of black people. We have learned to do so and blackface is now unacceptable, but this wasn't a Broadway play. Maybe the person in the photo (presumably the governor) was in a skit making fun of the way blackface had been used in earlier times.
That said, he should resign for supporting infanticide.
Old cowboys-and-Indians movies had white actors painted to look like Indians. Is it a hate crime for one of those movies to be shown on TV, or for a person to watch it?

It's on HIS own medical school yearbook page with his name and photos of him all over it. And it's not him?
He's already admitted it a couple of days ago that it was him in blackface and then tried to apologize. That was his first response. Now he has regrets and is trying to weasel out of it.
There's even a video out of him in a TV political debate with a black conservative opponent where he overtly refuses to shake hands with the man after the debate. Was it rudeness or racist? Watch the short video at the link and decide yourself.
