Pick a venue that will hold all of the Congress Critters, SCOTUS, etc... invite all of the before mentioned persons (leaving empty seats for those who do not show) and give a nationally televised SOTU Address!!
The visual of all those Democrats still on the beach in PR with rich Lobbyists, while Republicans and the President are trying to handle the business of America would look

The President “shall from time to time give to the Congress Information of the State of the Union, and recommend to their Consideration such measures as he shall judge necessary and expedient.” Article II, Section 3, Clause 1.
Yet the phrase 'time to time' is a bit vague. Should that be every month? Every four years? Well, George Washington, our nation's first president, established a precedent. With rare exception, the State of the Union address has been given once a year since 1790. However, this is not a legal requirement, only a precedent.
Not up to Congress as to whether or not it is given, nor is it mandated that it be given in Congress.
Some posters say he should send a written report. Maybe he should video tape it and send that. Make them watch him if they want the report.
The only problem with holding anywhere in DC will be the furloughed Federal Workers. Their unions would make it a nightmare. It would do no good if 50,000 Fed “workers” showed up because the media would keep the cameras on them, not the President.

For the rest of you: Trump can delivery a written state of the union to meet the requirement. The SOTU dog and pony show is a pointless exercise. Hopefully this will end it for good.

The real reason Nancy wants out is because the Dems made total a**es of themselves at the 2018 State of the Union. They booed, some didn't show, they wouldn't stand up and Newt has a bunch of pics of Nancy's face during Trump's speech. She knows she can't control her own party.

Let those members of the House who wish to attend be seated, in folding metal chairs if necessary.
BTW, there is no Constitutional requirement that the SOTU be given in front of Congress. Many early ones were simply a report that was sent to Congress.
Nancy is, however, going to regret this.
I suspect Trump WILL do the SOTU.
