President Trump on Sunday night mocked Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos as "Jeff Bozo" in a tweet slamming The Washington Post, which Bezos owns.
"So sorry to hear the news about Jeff Bozo being taken down by a competitor whose reporting, I understand, is far more accurate than the reporting in his lobbyist newspaper, the Amazon Washington Post," Trump tweeted. "Hopefully the paper will soon be placed in better & more responsible hands!"
Trump's tweets came shortly after The National Enquirer came out with the latest in a series of articles about Bezos's divorce from his wife of 25 years.
American Media Inc., the parent company of the National Enquirer, is controlled by Trump's longtime friend David Pecker.
American Media, Inc. in December admitted that it paid $150,000 to a woman "in concert with" Trump's campaign "in order to ensure that the woman did not publicize damaging allegations about the candidate before the 2016 presidential election." The company agreed to cooperate with federal prosecutors.
Trump last week wished Bezos "luck" on his divorce.
"It’s going to be a beauty," Trump added.
The president regularly antagonizes Bezos, criticizing both Amazon and the Post. He has multiple times suggested that the paper lobbies for Amazon.

Why didn’t you run in 2016? You could have easily won over some faint-hearted voters by better choosing your battles.
I wasn’t excited about Trump but I voted for him. I was mostly relieved on election day that Hillary lost. I expected Trump to be yet another NY liberal. I was pleasantly surprised.
Yeah that whole video was staged. Camera positioned next to fridge. Beer happened to be in fridge. Husband happened to walk in even though it was obvious she was making Video. The whole thing is classic. The fact that she thinks she is fooling people is amazing. Are they that dumb ? Well...she did make that DNA claim.
I remember when I used to criticize W for not fighting back and the Kool-Aid drinkers around here were all over me for not being a lockstep team player.
So this all feels quite familiar.
Rodney Dangerfield. He was fun to listen to.
Advantage: Douglas. And note the eyes: Bozo's girl looks both angry and gold-digger-ish; CZJ looks a little insecure, maybe, but Douglas looks *far* more confident than Bozo.
And what's up with Bozo's one-sided squint?
Trump does fight. That said, I hope he just backs off on this one. Bezos is a totally typical Dem tool - and I didn’t even know that he owned the WaPo - but this whole thing is so humiliating that Trump should just leave it alone.
Between the weenie shots that Bezos sent to his paramour, accompanied by embarrassingly raw expressions of amour, and the fact that his soon to be ex-wife will get half of his fortune and a controlling interest in Amazon, I don’t think Trump needs to say a thing.
Let Trump be Trump.

His is baiting them while giving them some “rope” each time they react publicly in an childish way.
