Jeb Bush, a man wrong for our times.
Had Jeb, rather than Dubya, been elected President in 2000, he would have served admirably and well, probably executing most of the same decisions from the Oval Office as his brother.
But the members of the Family Bush are administrators, not necessarily leaders in the sense of a strong personality with very definite goals and a very proactive agenda.
The world has changed since then, and the skill set brought to the table by Jeb is no longer sufficient to deal with some very active players on the world stage. There would have been NO pushback on China, for example, still allowing them to carry on a one-sided trade war with the US in continual retreat, and a continued fruitless involvement in every little squabble in the Middle East.
Donald Trump was right about Jeb being “low-energy”.
