PPPPPPP. How is it that something like this is only brought forward at the last minute?

Why not make this a blanket to cover anything approved already?

Yep. Congress authorization needed. If not approved by Congress then no dice.

It is a bit late to be modifying the bill that the house already passed. If you modify the bill then the house would have to vote again.

Trump needs to support this bill and make this about the shutdown.......

if he would agree to reduce the tax payer expense for the wall form 5 billion to something lower in exchange for this bill

The Dims will no longer have cover to say its a waste of tax payer money...since a chunk of it wold be funded by private donations

agree to HR7207 or shut down it down

I know liberals whose Christmas gifts to their family members is a donation to their favorite leftist charity in the name of the family member.

In the spirit of Christmas what is stopping us from making a $5.00 donation to Build The Wall in the name of our leftie family members?

The GoFundMe people say that they will refund any such donations done in other peoples’ names. It’s their policy.............

This Gofundme always struck me as weird.

You can give the government money to build a wall. That doesn’t mean they’ll do it.

They don’t want to do it.

It is my undertanding unless this is passed by both chambers of Congress and signed into law by Pres Trump before Jan 3, 2019, it will stand a ZERO chance of passage in the 116th Piglosi led US House.

““H.R. 7207 - To allow the Secretary of the Treasury to accept public donations to fund the construction of a barrier on the border between the United States and Mexico and for other purposes.” The Democrats will not pass this but any money raised can be used to support the private companies doing the work as they precede. It can be used to build temporary housing for workers. It can be used to fund security services to guard the safety of the workers, prevent theft and stop sabotage. I’m sure there are other uses as well. We can just step around the problem.
