Some of this is starting to creep into our forum again, hence the reminder.
Debate the issues all you want, but please don't make it personal. Keep it clean, above board and above belt.
Also, whether pro or con, keep the q stuff off our regular forum threads. Post it on the q thread in chat/conspiracy. But again, keep it clean, don't make it personal, no name calling, no attacks, no threats, no violence.
Don't be a TROLL. Stay on topic, don't flame, don't engage in flamewars, feuds, cross-thread arguments, stalking or harassment.
If you don't like the subject or topic of the thread to the point you become abusive or trollish, stay off it.
The rules also apply to FReepmail. Do not send profane, insulting, threatening, harassing or otherwise unwanted or abusive messages.
If someone says stop, stop.
Do not harass or pester the mods.
Thanks
Please explain both statements.
Decorum is why this site is so highly regarded.
Most comment sections are unreadable due to slander and profanity yet this one remains edgy without rudeness.

This place is almost like a ....... (get ready for it)........... SAFE SPACE
lol
But seriously, it is a safe space, in the older connotation of the phrase. It’s a safe space to communicate.
Not the new meaning, which is being shielded from certain sets of opinions.
But really, I hadn’t really thought about it a lot until now. For the most part, this place self moderates remarkably well. I’m sure there’s some active moderation too, but that seems to be rather unobtrusive. It’s rather impressive to think about particularly, as Aevery mentioned, when you think about the nastiness you typically encounter in comment sections and communities.
Uh oh, this is because of me, isnt it? I said the B word just yesterday. Busted!
Can you add— avoid too many leftist climate-change posts?
Merry Christmas Jim! :-)
Nyaa nyaa nyaa nyaa, eff the eff-effin effin effers
that’s what passes for politics today, because we’ve quite caring about the man upstairs
Agree 100%. Crude, vulgar language (and especially ad hominem attacks) ultimately diminish the excellence of this site.
Also, people who make replies in Caucus threads, often disregard the caucus designation, in favor of posting unsolicited, and slanderous personal attacks.
My two farthings.
M FR G A!
That was a classic!
Thanks, Jim. I admit I get in the habit and then realize it cheapens the discourse. FR is still pretty clean compared to other social media out there.
You’re allowed to use the B word if you’re talking about dogs.
THANKS!
“Glory to God in the highest, and on earth, peace, goodwill among men”
TOTALLY agree
Thank you! If it’s not too much trouble, it would be helpful to see what the official FR definition is of “profanity”. Some of the language that’s creeped into FR is well beyond what would be considered acceptable in either a workplace environment or most people’s living rooms.
Thank you, Father in Freepdom,
It will be nice to have the level of discourse raised from what it was becoming...I was afraid it was harming FR’s reputation as a Premier Conservative Site.
“makes it look like FR is inhabited by 10 year olds.”
Like any site FR can devolve into chat level diatribes if we’re not careful. I think this site is better than that.
Sometimes — particularly with hot button items — it can be instructive to craft a post, preview it and let it sit a while without posting. Review it again in a few minutes and see if you really want to post that message. We’ve all been there. Think before you speak and think before you post. :-)
Is the P word okay if we’re talking about Comey...or Mueller...or all those other P words?
*bump to see if I can still post...
