No wall funding

“OPIC”’s (U.S. Overseas Private Investment Corporation) investment of $4.8 billion in Mexico is controlled by President Trump’s State Dept. w/o a vote in Congress...no? And it is kind of in opposition to “reduce the trade deficit & bring jobs back to America”.
“The combination of public and private investment for the stay-at-home effort doesnt require congressional approval”

I think youre overestimating Trumps economic savvyness. Lets not forget this is the man who bankrupted a casino.
Without a wall, the only thing that will bring conservatives back to his side in the droves of 2016 is one or both of Hillary & Obama in orange,
>>The people being thrown out is us.
We are being replaced by another population
Its just a short matter of time before we are gone, and we are not breeding faster than they are.<<
Yep, and what amazes me is how something so OBVIOUS is incomprehensible to such a large majority of the citizenry.
Im dismayed because it Looks Like Trump wont be able to drain that swamp. I could be wrong but the oligarchy stymies him at every turn.
Almost half of the country loves Trump and is grateful to him. We will still fill stadiums for him. Not the point.
Bull shit. Wall funding is NOT off the table.
Does this imply in turn that table funding is off the wall?
bet you a dollar he builds it with money that’s in the DOD budget.
Yes, I agree.
I will still give him the benefit of waiting to see until it comes time to vote.
But if it ain’t there by then, contract is terminated.
No wall funding, bump stock ban, NY AG forces closure of Trump Foundation, Flynn left dangling, only those with a relationship with the President being investigated, Republicans patiently waiting to plunge the knife in his back...I’d say the President has started surrendering in an attempt to save his children’s a$$es from Muller. That’s where all this is headed next in an effort to get Trump to resign.
Okay I agree with this, as the wall is what made me want Mr. Trump at the beginning, that and baiting John McCain. The problem is president Trump has been pursuing the wall maybe not as vigorously as needed but he hasn't said no wall.
Democrats might think this is president Trump's No new taxes moment but where I am I going to go electorally? Especially with all the fun president Trump has turned out to be.
Seems like we are on our own now.
“My macro thought is the whole daring Trump thing just didnt work. Very disappointed. We have yokes on and not even our old sheepskin under glass the Founders wrote can save us.”
We wanted a revolution the cheap, easy and quiet way...by electing a president. You don’t do revolutions that way. They won’t work. You elect a person that has nothing but long knives out for him from the permanent government class and employees in the capitol and no support from anyone anywhere. He has no party, he has no backing, he has no talent pool to go to...he just had votes.
That’s sending a sheep to the slaughter, not having a revolution. And Trump is NOT a revolutionary anyway. He’s a builder, a manager, super-efficient, super hard working, a deal maker...all things that don’t amount to a hill of beans in Washington D.C.
What did we expect?
If you want a revolution, you have to do it the old fashioned, long, hard, messy and chaotic way. There’s no other way.
Stop thinking about revolution and start thinking secession, something that may actually work out for all parties.
Well, Trump isn’t a secessionist either. You are kind of missing my point...we sent Trump there to be something he wasn’t, without the necessary support on the inside to give him any chance of success whatsoever. What little he had was minimized when the Democrats won/stole the midterms.
Secession would be a revolutionary act. And it’s not very much more likely to happen than a revolution anyway. I don’t care what means you attempt to change the status quo - or what you call it - you aren’t going to do it the easy, simple, nice and clean way. It’s going to be extremely messy and it’s going to create tremendous chaos all around.
"The withdrawal of a State from a league has no revolutionary or insurrectionary characteristic. The government of the State remains unchanged as to all internal affairs. It is only its external or confederate relations that are altered. To term this action of a Sovereign a 'rebellion' is a gross abuse of language."
-- President Davis
Yeah, because that all worked out so well for Mr. Davis...
It was so simple, so clean, no one was disrupted or got hurt. As easy as an election.
Philosophy is so clean until it intersects with the real world.
Build the wall with solar panels at the top
I know youre being facetious but...So they can throw rocks and crack the panels? (The problem is that even hairline cracks in lexan or whatever let in water which destroys the photovoltaics).
Like I said a secession can be peaceful and could work out very well. It has a chance to work. Look at the USSR break up for a recent example. A virtually peaceful break up of an empire.
I would love for him to have a back door somehow. Im less confident about his 4d chess than 2 years ago. Hanging in, watching, waiting.
