My mom is 95 and has had several falls over the last four years, requiring a stay in rehab both times. A broken rib, let alone three, for an elderly person is extremely serious. I wouldn’t wish this on anyone, but do feel she really needs to retire and retain the service of home health should she survive this.

My mother is just a few years older. I love her, but I am pretty sure I wouldn’t want her making decisions beyond “paper or plastic.”

The actual quote, IIRC, is “Cry havoc, and let slip the dogs of war!” Spoken by Marc Antony In Shakespeare’s “Julius Caesar”.

We had a 90 family member about RBG’s age and size injured in an MVA. She broke more than RBG. Auntie recovered from the accident and lived another 13 years.

Really depends on what caused Ginsburg’s fall. And if she sustained any other injuries in addition to the ribs.

agree.. I suppose I’ve had my moments too. Broke my foot 2 years ago and had to crawl up the stairs to the bedroom.. humbling experience. I hope your knees are functioning well.

When you inhale no air moves because your chest wall isn’t fixed in place. You have to intubate these folks pretty quick or you lose them.

She’s probably got better health care than most people. There’s all kinds of things they can do for people that us normals don’t even know about.

"The sphincter tightening level in Liberalworld just increased by orders of magnitude."

Remember all the articles about how she could serve another 10 years? I think the odds decreased significantly with this event. I wish her well, but hope she retires.

I wish no ill towards Ginsberg or anyone, but you have got to enjoy God’s sense of humor and timing here. Less than one day after the mid-terms this event occurs.

Stop and consider if this had happened on Monday. We know the outcome of the elections would likely have been far more extreme.

I do not believe in coincidences or randomness.

I have little doubt that Trump will be nominating her replacement very soon. At her age this isn’t a minor thing, and she’s already “death warmed over”.

I’m looking forward to that new movie, “Weekend at Ruth’s”.

I broke a tooth in half during Kavanaugh. My dentist said he had seen several that week. Had the root canal a week or so ago, waiting for the crown now.

Doesn’t matter, the left already has accusers lined up for the hearings. Just fill in the name blank.
