I don't think people are ready for the crisis that will follow if Democrats win the House popular vote but not the majority.
After Kavanaugh, Trump, Garland, Citizens United, Bush v. Gore, etc, the party is on the edge of losing faith in the system (and reasonably so).

They only think of numbers not the Constitution.they think all the votes should be added up and seats assigned proportionately. So is Gerry Nadler wins his district by 110,000 votes that is worth more than say Devin Nunes winning his by 2,000 votes. They are not stupid. They understand that with minorities, big cities, protected classes returnin 9 to 1 in favor of the Dems they will almost always have more votes. But that’s why the Founders designed the Constitution. These people DO WANT TO ABOLISH IT.

Guess what they mean is if, overall, DemocRats rack up more votes natio ally than Republicans nationally, i.e. in ratholes like New York and Calipornia, but the GOP still controls both houses.
Personally I would prefer that scenario as it will drive them all nuts so they try to stage a revolution and then we can finish them all off.

Some of us might be more ready than you think.
Because the House of Representatives is not divided up on a straight pro rata share of the population. There are 5 states that have one rep. Also seats are apportioned by population not of citizens. So they house does not reflect a true majority vote of the underlying population as measured by the Census.
That aside, what this loon mens is add up all the vote nation wide and calculate who won the majority of them. That majority may nt align with the majority of wins in state races. If two states each have 500,000 votes and one rep and one states gives 80% to the Dems and the other State gives 51% to Pubs then there is one Dem and one Pub rep elected. But the total two state vote count is 655,000/1,000,000 for the Dems and 245,000/1,000,000 giving the Dems the “popular” vote count but only 1/2 of the reps.
That example is good extended to all states.

This is literal insanity. Completely separate elections have nothing to do with each other. People can only lose “faith in the system” because people like Ezra Klein miseducate people on what the system even is.
He needs to take some Ex-lax to clear his thinking.
It could happen given there are far more concentrated “Deep Blue” Democratic seats than vice versa.
