More voters credit President Trump than former President Obama for the current state of the economy, according to a new poll.
The Harris Poll, conducted with Harvard Universitys Center for American Political Studies, found that 47 percent of respondents said they believe President Trump is responsible for the current economy, compared to 21 percent who said they believe Obama is responsible.
Among those surveyed, 15 percent said they think Republicans in Congress are responsible for the state of the economy, versus 10 percent who said the same of Democrats in Congress.
Trump has frequently touted the success of the stock market during his presidency as evidence of his administrations influence on the economy.
The Economy is soooo good, perhaps the best in our countrys history (remember, its the economy stupid!), he tweeted last month.
The stock market this week, however, experienced a massive drop, wiping out the entirety of its gains in 2018. Republicans have sought to wield the state of the booming economy in the run up to November's election, but economists warn the stock market may not bounce back. Trump has remained silent about the stock market since the drop.
The Harris Poll was conducted online between Oct. 26-28 and surveyed 1,835 registered voters. The survey has a margin of error of plus or minus 2.8 percentage points.
Like...duh.
There is no helping that 21% ...
Obola is on record saying the economy was never coming back and Trump had no magic wand.
October always seems to be a freaky month for the markets. Nothing I can see to actually worry about.
The magic wand comment killed whatever chance he had of taking credit.
It appears that Barack The Magic Negro©, had no magic whatsoever.
More bad news for Democrats.
Their two top issues are hate Trump and turn America into Venezuela.
It isnt winning Americans over. Sucks to be them.
Yeah, that Magic Wand insult by BHO will dog him endlessly.
And BHO thought his comment was one of those ‘mic drop’ moments he was always so proud of.
Big, big question:
When Bush was in poll trouble the Dems sneered “It’s the economy, stupid.”
NOW shouldn’t everyone vote GOP because of the terrific economy? Or is it hypocrisy?
Did you read that ABSURD sentence taken totally out of context?
A normal human would look at the market from when he took office to now.
Not this year.
I thought The Hill was not as bad as other news venues.
I was wrong.
It’s a ridiculous sentence.
When people complain to me that their 401k is way down, I ask “from when?”
sometimes I feel like we can’t possibly lose
sometimes I worry
this cycle is making me bipolar
Barry better have a non-extraditable Mooslim hellhole picked out before the indictments drop.

Despite the best efforts of the Ministry of Propaganda.
But Obama told us the economic growth started when he was president.
Has Obama claimed credit for the near record levels of consumer optimism yet?
That has to chap Oba. In a decade or more he will be lucky to still have 10% support. He is rapidly on his way to becoming little more than a footnote in history.
Obama = “ZERO”!!! Total failure in everything he touched. Americans were out of their minds when the voted for that 100% incompetent. Have you seen his latest act on the campaign trail...the gent is “Looney Tunes” in love with his twisted self!!! He needs meds bad!!!
21% of Americans are idiots, studying to be morons, and failing.
Obummer did nothing for the economy. In fact it would have recovered sooner if he had simply gotten out of the way. Instead he spent the first two years of his first term getting obummercare going.
Idjit. Obummer did less than zero for the economy.
